I bought a DVD Player with 6 speakers recently and i was wondering can i get sound from the TV to the speakers. For example if i wanted to watch MTV could the sound instead of coming out the TV could it come out the DVD Speakers? If so, what do i need? Sorry if this seems a silly question.

Presumably there's an amp in there somewhere as well (is it one of those home-cinema-in-a-box solutions?), which distributes sound from your dvd player to the speakers. Whatever, the same rules apply - sound comes out of the TV via the audio out sockets, and into one of the aux inputs on the amp via two coax leads. Check your kit to see if you have the necessary connections because not all TVs let you pump the sound into something better (as a fallback, your VCR or digibox will have audio out so use this as your TV tuner). Note also that TV sound is (except for certain channels viewed with SKY+) prologic only, not the full 5.1 of DVD.
