Why would anyone want to spend £30 a month? You could get a contract and save money.

There is nothing on the website about this! At the moment you top up by 30 quid and get 1000 free texts.. This is what it says on the website too.

I don't want a contract and that way if one month I dont have money to top up it wont matter on contract i'd be stuck.

This is a miles better deal for people who text a lot. Better than contracts.

Unlimited texts are generally only on 18 month contracts too.

If I could set up a direct debit (So I didn't have to faff about topping up) I'd ditch my contract.

Ok so if I was to top up on November 1st I'd have to wait til December to get unlimited texts or would they start straight away?

Oh ok can you keep us updated please? It's still a cracking deal even if you do have to wait a month for the first lot to start. Do you know if it's a permenant change or just like an offer for like 6 months or something like that?

Actually - the offer has been about for over a year.

If you top up by ten pounds you get 3000 texts
twenty pounds - 600 texts
thirty pounds - 1000 texts.

I have it. Its good. You get the texts immediately after topping up.

Thats not PAYG though, thats the simplicity offers, 1 month rolling contracts, Orange do similar offers but this thread is about PAYG not sim only contracts.

O2 Pay as you go top up £30 a month or more and get unlimited free messaging units for texts and mms and still keep that £30 for calling credit.

I would've thought Orange would've started promoting this free unlimited texts offer by now since they start it next month (if its true)

Bit cheeky inferring the OP lied isn't it? I saw the presentation too. Launch on Nov 1.

Also you would have thought Orange would have bought forward the launch date of this as O2 have stolen there thunder. Mind you, nothing new there, o2 were offering free texts years and years before Orange caught the boat.

Exvuse me I wasnt saying he was lying at all the "(if its true)" comment was not aimed directly at him it was aimed at Orange as I cant find any information on it anywhere. The OP works in an Orange shop (i believe) so why would I call them a liar?

I agree with both you. O2 have always been good for free texts and its only recently that other networks have started to catch up but IMO T-Mobile have gone from catching up to going a few steps back. First they offered free weekend texts, then it was unlimited free evening and weekend texts, which was meant to be for life. Then that was axed and now its £10 for ONE weekend of texts

I'm on T-Mobile at the moment but changing to O2 tomorrow and porting my number over as I'd rather spend £30 and have free texts all month then spend £40 and only have them at weekends.

The reason you cannot find anything about it is because it doesn't launch till Nov 1st, and POS doesn't change till Oct 31st.

Yes I know but usually you can find information on upcoming offers and changes.

Also will Orange's unlimited messages include MMS or just SMS as O2's are both SMS and MMS.
