Is there any way of doing this? Perhaps there is a code?

If there was a way to do it then they wouldn't be "withheld" numbers

No, there is no way of doing this. Unless you are being harassed, in which case I believe the police can.

if you are receiving calls that are withheld, and are a nuisance, you can call your provider straight after each call to have the number logged. They will not be able to give you the number. however what they will say, is go to the police and report the calls, keep a log of times and dates, and once you have enough calls logged (sorry, not sure how many - ask the police) the police can call the network in particular on a specific number only they have and obtain the number/numbers that have been calling you and deal with it in their way.

your network will be able to make a log of when you were called if it is abusive calls, the only thing the police will do however is tell you to change your number

Not true. I had a problem caller and, despite several warnings, had to resort to reporting the person to the police.

They put a bar on that person's number phoning mine (whether it was withheld or not). If that person tried to call my number, they would hear a recording telling them not to phone my number again.

After 4 attempts at trying to phone me, and hearing that message, they got a fifth final (different) one telling them the police would be involved if they tried again.

Which they did. And got their visit from the boys in blue.

BT will block withheld numbers. The caller will be told you do not accept withheld numbers, not sure how much a month it costs.

So if they want to call you they have to release their number.
