Question for RDR870 owners ?
Unlike the RDR860, does the 870 model have a Pause record function ?

However unlike previous "SONY offerings" were there was a seperate "Record Pause" key you now have to use the "Play back" pause key. Bascially both pause play back and pause record have been combined to the same button. Just like an old Compact Cassette recorder! Actually I always found the splitting of the pause function over 2 keys a bit strange! One thing have have noticed with pausing during a recording session: When paused you cannot change the external Input source. I.e. switch from L1 to L2 or vice-versa. With the old RDR-HX1000 you could do this. I hope my post has been of use |

thank for the reply. My *860 doesn't have pause record which is really annoying, so I may next go for the 870, or possibly see if I can get an *870 remote which looks identicle.
