XBox 360 HD DVD Drive
Has anyone had any experience of using this drive on a PC to view HD DVD Movies? I've seen some reviews that claim it works. (The drive has a USB 2 connection, and will power with PowerDVD apparently).
If anyone has one, can they give it a go and report back, because I'm tempted to get one as a cheap entry-level HD DVD player. (I use my media centre PC for TV reception anyway, driving my LCD at 1920x1080). |

Can i use the drive on a pc? Yes but player software is currently problematic but this will improve over time as non BETA versions of software are released. At present you seem to need a graphics card that supports HDCP for PowerDVD 6.5 on pc but this is not required as part of the copy protection specifications, hopefully this restriction will be removed soon. Hope it helps. |
