Girls were hot tonight, put the boys to shame. Kelly and Brendan caught my eye, and Stephanie is great. As for the men I'm going with mega fat John though, get 3 stone off and he will start to look good. Also the gorgeous Gethin - he will come through the ranks when he realises he is ALLOWED to look and act sexy - and touch

Girls were great in the group dance, shame Anton couldn't join in though. Certainly looks like Len will be right with his "go-go girls, bye-bye boys" statement, but shame on him on re-using about three jokes from DWTS

Great show overall, though, been quite calm all day but when the music started the excitement kicked in. I wish the results were tonight, though...

Great show tonight. This could be the best line up yet. The girls were fantastic for a first show, and were, of course, stunning to look at at.

Alesha stood out today for me. The boys were dissappointing but i can't wait for tomorrow. Mark and Karen are dancing together again YAY. Almost a year since they first danced!!

I know it's early but the girls have the edge over the boys.

Barnesy has still got it.

Was surprised by Willie but Gethin and Kenny I thought would be better.

And as much as I love Lilia I think Dom might get on my nerves to much.

Think Gethin could be this Year's Matt Dawson. How bad was he in his first dance and look where he ended up. Do think it is the girls year this year though.

My money is on Aleesha though I love Steph as well

Woo Alesha looked amazing. Go Team Cutler! Thought Penny looked really good too. Surprised by how good John and Willie were, John really needs to lose weight though so he can move more freely. Gethin was very yawn, it seemed to be all about Camilla.

I voted for John Barnes. I reckon, after some weight loss, he'll be really good. He's got great rhythm.

Looking forward to seeing the girls next week, and my fear seems to be looming, Gabby was good in the group, going to have to try and jinx her for next week (Only kidding - trying hard to like her and give her a chance ) James is the perfect partner for her for sure.

Penny looks to be good, wonder how she'll do in the Latin
Kelly looks good (and doesn't she know it??) I get the impression that her looks cover up a mostly dull personality. But she could prove me wrong over the weeks cause I'm pretty sure she'll be around for a while.

But my fave since the celebs were revealed has been Aleesha - and she looked amazing tonight. Have high hopes for her and Matthew.

Some may argue that it is rather superficial, but looks, personality, attitude as well as the obvious dancing ability all combine to entice viewers to vote (probably as many as 90% of said viewers being novices to ballroom dancing).

For me on just looks alone Alesha and Kelly made the most impact (partly explained by the fact I'm a bloke who much prefers brunettes) but they demonstrated rhythm, agility and great enthusiasm in the group dance. Penny and Gabby will provide competition, but my primary reservation with Gabby is that I just don't think she is as viewer friendly as either Alesha, Kelly or Penny - a pivotal factor if you want to win.

The expert commentators (both ex ballroom dancers) enthused about Gethin's performance. The judges (only one of whom is an ex ballroom dancer) thought differently.

I totally agree with all that you have said though I really enjoyed Letitia and Darren lloked like they were having fun - am too trying to warm to Gabby (james is my fav professional) I just think she comes across a tad smug (my friends watching it with me said it too) think she will divide opinion ... - am really looking forward to watching Mark & Karendance...poor Karen Brian tried his best...cannot wait for next week

Think Aleesha is the one to watch this year-Steph looks good too. Love the way Vincent referred to her as Stephania

Seriously, great minds think alike.I liked Letitia and Darren too, but I reckon that they will struggle very soon, she is not fat by any means, but imo, her shape is not the shape needed to be elegant and long and lean.

Although Sabrina in DWTS is a similar shape and boy can she shift So maybe Letitia will be around for a while.

Darren was definitely the best choice of partner for her, could you imagine her dancing with James? Or Brendan? No way!! Maybe Anton at a push, but Darren is the best for her imo.

They must - we cannot loose Anton am disappointed - wanted to see Kate in the competion

So happy to see the show back!! - Some fairly good performances,Willie and Erin surprised me and Gethin and Camilla,can't help feel a bit disappointed with them,or I should say him.

The women however,incredible-can't wait for next week and since the line-up was announced I really think a female celebrity will win this year!

Kate can't have trained for a couple of weeks and if she is suffering with tendonitis now I don't think it will get better if she starts training again.
