Although Kelly seems to be the lads (mags) fave, I thought Alesha was sexier and a better dancer (on the brief evidence we've seen).

If KG is out of the contest then Alesha is definitely getting my vote!

Absolutely, the two brunettes were hot!! But, it has to be Alesha for me.

I think the chemistry between her and Mathew is great - I can see these two having the same sort of viewer appeal that Mark and Karen acquired last year.

But on the evidence of tonights dances, I would be gobsmacked if one of the men eventually lifted the glitter ball. Last year is was immediately evident, with Mark, Ray and Spoony, that the men would provide serious competition for the ladies.

This year, I think only Matt or Gethin might make it to the final.

I think Alesha danced really well in the group dance tonight and stood out from the rest. Kelly didn't show much control; if it had been Pop Idol she would definitely have been dubbed, 'karaoke'. I am looking forward to seeing what they can both do next week, but right now the smart money has got to be on Alesha.

And i agree that Alesha and Matt will have the same following hopefully that Mark and Karen did. I was a real fan of Mark and Karen!

Alesha was the standout of all the girls, with Penny looking good too. Thought Kelly was alright, but nothing special. She has a definite talent for wiggling her hips and flicking her hair but that's about it.

Boys were bad as a whole- loving John and astounded by Willie Erin is great I think either Gethin or Matt should go (only cos I want Kenny to stay in longer than his awful wife! )

I did think that Stephanie's comment to Kelly was right though, she, IMO seemed to do a bit more screeching and flashing than any of the other girls, perhaps because she is with Bad Boy Brendan, she feels she has to stand out a bit more.

I think that she will be a good dancer though, her confidence has definitely taken a rocket turn, since moving to the States, but I have seen Alesha dancing in that group she was in and she is really good.

Alesha looked amazing and moved really well - can't wait to see them dance next week.

Has some people forgot how hammered kelly used to get by the british press! fair enough she isnt in mensa! but she a fun, not size zero model!! so shes good IMO!

Alesha looked great but I think this type of dance suited her and Kelly. The real test for both will come in the slower dances such as the waltz.

I agree - Kelly is truly beautiful of that there is no doubt but I preferred Aleesha I knew I would - saw her years ago at a Motown concert - she is lovely and when she performs she looks like she is enjoying every minute

Well said!! Brendans ego is nowhere near the size of Ian 'I've been in two finals' Waites or Darren's either or Mr Passione or James who needs to evolve! How else could you dance like they do!

That male pro VT definitely made it appear most of them have ego's the size of Texas. I'd have prefered it if they solely focused on the female celebs rather than the pro's who we all know!

Of all the girls I prefer Penny. But out of Alesha and Kelly I prefer Alesha. I don't understand why the stuff with Kelly and Brendan has to be so sexual. Is it the BBC's editing, or is the dancing they are doing just generally more sexual than the other couples?

Alesha is my early favourite but it'll be interesting to see how she tackles the ballroom dances.

I don't think Matt Cutler has an ego the size of Texas. He knows he is a brilliant dancer of course and has confidence, but that is different. It is always all about his partner - he only spoke of Alesha on the VT for example, not what he "brings to the table". He takes care of them and remains kind and never appears over confident or ultra competitive. Maybe I'm biased, but that's how he appears to me and that's why I like him so much .(putting his fabulous dancing aside!)
