Is it wrong that I'm glad Karen's gone?

I'm a cow, what can I say?!

I'm so disappointed that Karen is gone. I'm a huge fan of hers, I really wanted her to stay in for a few weeks at least and thought that her fanbase might vote because of her and keep Brian in for a while. Not to be, it seems.

yeah am quite sad but did expect it. Last year was a tough act to follow. Will miss her on telly but get to see her in real life
LM - she will be on ITT - too much of a character to waste - Tess said that Mark & karen would be dancing for the last time - hope that is not true

Karen looked beautiful tonight

You could try and be at least a bit tactful Cat123, she's got alot of a following on here.

I doubt people would have the same response if one of your pros left.

D**n that is such a shame for Karen and Brian, I honestly felt they were undermarked. I knew they probably wouldn't be in it for long but I was hoping they'd stick around for a couple of weeks at least! Oh well, maybe this means our chances of seeing Karen dancing with the divine Mr Ramprakash in the Xmas special have just increased - I live in hope!

Yay for the fab salsa!

ETA: Cat, Karen may not be your fave pro but I echo the comment posted above, that Karen does have a large fanbase who are disappointed to see her leave. I hope for your sake that other people are not so rude to you when your fave pro leaves.

I don't think the judges did much for the contestants confidence tonight either!
totally agree - way too harsh - given that it was the first show

It is a shame as i like karen but the winners always seem to get "lumbered" the next series, i dont think the bbc want the same pro to win again.

However I feel sorry for them because I do think Brian tried really hard and I found Kenny to be completely personality free and I warmed to him as much i have to his wife...ie not a lot!

Will still watch tomorrow night as I want to see Brendan dance.

Really hope this years "journey" is not "who will win out of the married couple?" *insert sick smilie*

Rather that and than have a situation like in the states when they are over marked from day 1. Gives them a focus and something to work for. Fiona La Philips and others have got lower

I honestly don't think either Ola or James will win...

Am very sad for Karen, because she is great value and has done so much for the show (though I do find her a bit exhausting sometimes!!)

Although in certain pros cases, not mentioning any names, winners have been nearly every series.

I thought Brian had a lot of personality, presumably charisma from being an actor, but having said it, I am liking Ola more this series, and James also.

Have to agree- and Darren except for Gloria is always quite 'lucky'.

Ah well- lets hope a new champion both celeb and pro is crowned this year

Not sure who I am going to support this year based on what we've seen so far

I really do agree with that Laura .
They were very negative .
I did not think this couple were the worst and could have improved enough to stay a bit .

I think it's going to be very hard to call this year ..... I mean who woudl the savvy money be on next week ?

Also wanted to add that it will be nice to hear Karen's commentary on the pros & celebs next week on the interactive button (especially as we didnt hear from her at all last year as she was still living it up with the gorgeous mark - although not as gorgeous as Brendan i have to add)

Never really posted much last year but it would be nice to think that people were a little kinder to peoples favourite who have just left. Not a huge Karen fan but I hope no-one celebrates my unhappiness when Brendan leaves

You may have known but it wasn't a fair result and that really is me being objective

Kenny was like a lumbering oaf .

At least Brian had some elegance
Agree with you totally Inners

Don't think I'll be taking too much notice of Strictly now, not particularly interested in the remaining contestants.

I bet the bloody judges just kept Kenny in becuase of the couples thing

Peronally,I think that a major part of the enjoyment of SCD is being entertained, whilst seeing someone learning a new skill & having fun at the same time.

If the fact that the members of a married couple are able to achieve this then why should the fact that they are married count against them?

Fair enough, but there's a line between having favourites and downright being rude about who people support, I just hope the same reaction is said when their favourite pros leave, it'll achieve nothing, but then at least then people will know what it feels like.

Karen may not be the favourite professional on the show, but people should show more respect to her regardless of whether they like her or not, she's got the reputation that many dancers would love to have.

Very sad to see Karen go so early - have always liked her because she seems like a 'real' person - very down to earth even tho very talented. Very sad.
Bedtime now.

Feel free, if that's how you feel. I'm not saying it to be spiteful, I'm just not a fan.

Sorry Lilia has not been given dead cert partners in the last 3 series and it makes me cross when people says she has

Goughie was certainly no dead cert and I believe Craig called Matts cha cha "dull, dull, dull" and gave him a 2!!!!
