Feel free, if that's how you feel. I'm not saying it to be spiteful, I'm just not a fan.
Cat who are your favs?

Thanks for posting the result. Much appreciated as I wont be able to watch the result show tomorrow or on a lot of the sundays either so am grateful for knowing who is out.

Really wish the BBC would have left things as they were and had the result show later on the saturday evening as normal. Perhaps once they realise that by the time the sunday show is aired that majority of the viewers know the result from one source or another, and the ratings aren't fantastic for the results, they might go back to their original formula 'that works!!'

Sorry Lilia has not been given dead cert partners in the last 3 series and it makes me cross when people says she has

Goughie was certainly no dead cert and I believe Craig called Matts cha cha "dull, dull, dull" and gave him a 2!!!!
that is true, she has just never been given an old one yet

I always feel a bit bad for the people who go out the first few weeks as they obviously put in a lot of hard work with very little chance to show it off or improve. And Brian seems a nice man.

Is it wrong that I'm glad Karen's gone?

I'm a cow, what can I say?!
And totally tactless and the Show has lost one of it's 2 real female pro stars and I mean that in it's widest sense . It will be less of a show for her not being there , but it does mean more of her in the Pro dances .

I agree with you, it's such a relief when someone you don't particularly like goes instead of your fav.

Lilia's partners were never expected to get so far, but they all did.

There's a difference between that and then someone like Nicole who had Diarmuid AND Nicholas, I'm just glad she's finally been given someone with talent.

I understand why some don't care for Karen...but she brings something unique to the show IMO...so it's a bit of a downer for her to go out this early.

I'm not particularly keen on Brendan or Erin but there are plenty of bland, diplomatic, upbeat types amongst the pros and that requires counter-balance.

They're all pro stars so frankly I don't know what you're talking about.

LL - I won't - Brendan is not my fav but I don't think it is very adult to gloat as all the professionals have their fans - tonight I have read some horrible remarks about James but if it makes some people happy then heh ho

Why ? it isn't the pro who is being knocked out .
All they can do is teach and hope for the best . None of them can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear ...not even Lilia who had help with Matt to turn his dancing round .

Oh I'm so sad Karen has left so early, she is such a major part of strictly it won't be the same without her.

how many of them are ever dead certs? was Natasha? was Mark? however It is true that Lilia's patners have all been fairly young and fit, (two of which were sportsman) , which is always an advantage.

I'd like to see Karen ideally return as a judge, I think that'd be a great asset to the show, and would hopefully rule out some of the pointless judges comments (not including Len really!) however I do believe that would fuel those Karen-dislikers to dislike her even more.

Ok, she's different to the others, she's unique, whether you like her or not, you should view her for her dancing ability or at least make the effort to see what she's like.

Olive, I do agree with you mostly here, however I would just like to say that while both Goughie and Matt may not have been "dead certs" for the finals, they did at least have a bit more potential than the likes of Willie Thorne or Jimmy Tarbuck - i.e they were young and pretty fit and had the capacity for improvement. Lilia certainly pushed them every step of the way and because of that they did improve dramatcially, and full credit to Lilia for that, she deserves it. But I think what was meant by little_miss's comment was that she has never been handed someone who you just know aren't going to last more than a week or two because they are simply too old or too unfit to keep up with the pace and compete properly with those who are a good few decades younger than them.

I didn't necessarily mean the forums. But Claire King, Fiona Philips and the whole tabloid press will make a huge deal out of it.

Poor Brendan gets a rough deal

I wasn't picking on her, I agree, she doesn't choose them.

I think that the judges have an unenviable task - not everyone is going to agree with them, they have to make a comment and they all have their reputations on the line and have to say what their opinion is. I would rather they speak openly and honestly than just tell everyone they are great. Karen would be no different.

All of people watching with me made comments about Brians hands before Craig did

I couldn't disagree more. Fair enough, in latin, she knows her stuff but I seriously don't think she's qualified to have an opinion on the ballroom... From a performance point of view, perhaps, from a technical point of view, definitely not.

And yes, I'm glad Karen's out. I don't understand why it's such a big problem. Are people so insecure in their own admiration that they can't let people express opposing opinions?

I mean Karen and Lilia who are , in my opinion , the best female pros ........ and as I said I mean that in the widest sense of the word , both are witty , clever , funny and great in the training rooms and in their support of their partners .
Neither put themselves first and both always try to work to their partner's strengths and never seek to " show off " .

I can see you wouldn't agree , but this is a place for discussion , so why should you . I probably like those 2 dancers the least , but that doesn't mean I wouldn't vote for them , and have , ( I did tonight ! ) if I liked their partner and what they were doing with them .

It was more the way she said it, found that a bit childish to be honest, it was not what she said

I think that Erin has had a bad run of partners and done a good job with them and that kudos to both her and Lilia for excellent choreography most of the time.

Olive et al on the Lilia side I dont' think people are meaning this as a personal insult to Lilia but just commenting- it is after all the Beebs decision and they must feel that her and Darren bring in the cash so give them good partners.

Personally as I said earlier I would really like to see both new celeb and pro winners and finalists or it will just become boring

Agree with you totally Inners

Don't think I'll be taking too much notice of Strictly now, not particularly interested in the remaining contestants.

I bet the bloody judges just kept Kenny in becuase of the couples thing
Surely the fact that they scored K&B lower meant that they had to save face and therefore eliminate the couple they had already written off as having no talent and little potential (in their opinions, not necessarily mine). That's what makes this system so farcical......
