If, in following weeks, the result is leaked to us before Sunday then can we agree to avoid talking about it anywhere apart from one dedicated thread? Or, if you really have to talk about it elsewhere at very least you spoiler tags.

I can already see threads for individual dancers and couples tonight with people discussing the results openly and that is extremely unfair on anyone who has avoided the spoiler thread only to stumble across the result by someone's carelessness elsewhere.

Personally I'm not bothered if I know beforehand but I'm sure plenty of people are. Quite frankly I'm surprised people weren't more considerate in this matter.

I think this issue is going to cause a lot of arguments otherwise and people are quite rightly going to be p*ssed off. I know in the American Idol forum people do not discuss the result out of courtesy apart from in one dedicated thread until it has been shown here and we should probably do the same.

Here, here Claire. Exactly what I've been arguing on the "Results Spoiler" thread; which I didn't access until the fallout entered other threads.

I don't think you should be posting that in the specified 'Spoiler' threads, just the ones that aren't marked but are giving things away.

That's why I made a nice shiny new thread for all to see. It was easier that way.

Well said Claire. Hope we can all agree not to discuss outside 'Spoiler' threads. Of course we can police ourselves, we don't need the Moderators to come down to our Pink and Fluffy forum and spank us - now do we!

It's the BBC's fault - voting lines open for all of 2 hours and pre-recorded elimination show is a dreadful decision.

I agree, it should definately be kept to the spoiler thead, but unfortunately there are always some people who will post the results in other threads, despite how many times they are asked not to.

It does seem like a daft move by the Beeb Does anyone know what was behind their decision to move it?

I think people need to contact the mods and then hopefully a sticky will be forthcoming.

That should sort it out....together with the 'alert' button.

Have people actually complained to the BBC about the new position of the results show?... its obviously just a ratings ploy (although they probably got the idea from the USA one that does this already)....as much as I love the show I hate to have it drawn out like this.

Points of view starts again today so maybe we can rally and get them to put it back to later on a Saturday!

Unbelievable! Some thoughtless contributor has just mentioned in the Gethin & Camilla thread who got voted out last night, so avoid that if you don't want to know till tonight!

Exactly it`s a stupid idea Either do the elimination live on Sunday night or go back to showing the results on a second show on Saturday as done previously.

I see the BBC have a reasonable message board this year and think anyone who is against this Sunday night result show should bombard their site with complaints

*headesk*

Good lord what is wrong with some people! We never have this many problems with spoilers on the rest of the board.

The DS Spoiler policy says this:

"Posting spoiler material in an inappropriate thread is regarded as disruptive and dealt with accordingly (usually in the form of a temporary ban or, if it happens repeatedly, a permanent ban). This may seem draconian but the posting of spoilers in inappropriate locations can spoil the enjoyment of a programme for a large number of people."

So I'd say just starting reporting those who are doing it and hopefully they'll quickly learn.

I'm actually really sad and pissed off about this. I don't want to know who went out, but it's almost impossible not to guess. I just visited the Luscius Lilia and Dominic threat, and without naming names it was given away in there as well. Shame really. It seems the only way not to find out is by staying of Digi spy until after the show, which is a shame as I loved my little routine of going online after the show.

Don't stay away. Just go there and report it now. If the people who did it get the message from the DS mods hopefully they'll think next week.

I agree that this sort of behaviour will spoil it for most of us (even though I have been to find out who got kicked out myself). What an absolutely rubbish decision by the BBC - as much as I love the show, this has changed my excitement anticipating the results show later on Saturday. Without sounding dramatic, the show will not be the same for me now.

Thanks, it's really not something that could be reported. I probably will have to live with the fact, that Sunday's result show will be a non-event as I'm bound to find out every week who the losing couple was. I just hope some people will take the suggestion of this threat to heart.

It certainly is. It's against DS's spoiler policy and one of the things you can be warned or banned for.

I don't think it will be leaked each week , it depends on someone here knowing someone who went or is going themselves.

Well let's hope you are right. Maybe it's all a hoax anyway, and it will be a completely different couple that has gone out. By the way, does anyone know when the result show was filmed, and until when people could vote for the couples?

you could vote up to 9pm. so i assume it was all over by 9.30pm.

although i know who got knocked out, i'll still watch the show to see them lining up and their names getting called out. I like that bit. I'll especially like seeing tonights as i'm not a fan of the professional
