Recordings and rescaning

Hello , I got a SVR-S500 , and i want to rescan to add the new channels , BUT the mrs has got 40 gb of recording on the hdd .
Now if i rescan will it wipe out the recordings ????

It shouldn't do. Vague I know, but I've got a RDR-HXD870, and have scanned a few times for new channels (aerial upgrade) and have never lost anything from the hard drive. Re-scan shouldn't touch the HDD, but if you've re-ordered the channels, you'll need to do that again after the re-scan.

On my last rescan, abc1 was removed, along with FTN, and Virgin 1 put in place with no ill effects.
