Using Three services abroad
ramit
07-10-2007
I'm going on a round the world trip later this month, and I was thinking about going for this, but have a couple of questions on roaming that I was hoping someone could help me with:

1) When roaming abroad (not on 3's network) I was wondering whether the skpye or msn messsenger still works, and is included as free still?

2) When roaming abroad in Australia and in an area when 3 can't be obtained I was wondering whether the skpye or msn messsenger still works, and is included as free still?

Thanks

1) I would Suggest No. These operate 'on the side' of any data deal and I'm pretty sure that even if 3 had a Data roaming deal with a particluar foreign network, they'd not work.

2) Again, I'd suggest No. But they do cover 96% of the population via their 2G roaming partner Telstra. I know MSN works on 2G over here.
