Is it me, or does the SCD forum seem awfully edgy since the build up to the first show started? I was lurking throughout Series 4, and can never really remember there being so many mini-arguments.

First we had the whole Ticket fiasco argument, then whining about the results show, and people were being really, really harsh to each other in the discussion last night.

I posted a lot at the end of last year, but the atmosphere has put me off posting more this series. Am I the only one?

no you are not the only one! I tend to stick to one thread at the moment as I am worried about posting in the other ones for fear of being bitched at for having an opinion and daring to post it

it did get quite harsh towards the end of last year - there were some people who seemed way over the top in their criticism. In my book criticise the dancing as much as you like but slagging off dancers, celebs and fellow posters personally when you don't even know them is just not necessary imho.

Oh yeah ! I am sticking to one or two places too . I will not get sucked in again . It ruins th fun . I just can't bear the digging and slagging of people we really don't know .

It's peaceful in GMR and Kat has posted a great report of last night .

I think some people have had a serious sense of humour failure. In the end it is just a sodding charity, celebrity ballroom dancing contest and nothing to fall out about. As long as it entertains then it's doing its job just fine.

Some people get incredibly touchy about their favourites and it just isn't worth it. They probably get more worked up than the actual celebs and pros do!

It's annoying when your fave goes out but there's plenty of other entertainment to see and honestly it's a lot less stressful to watch!

yeh I'm with you - I really enjoyed posting last year and got really into it but some of the slagging off especialy towards the end was just mad. I do have to say though it is not the majority of posters - most people are fine, there are clearly just a few who take it a bit too seriously

etc just read Claires post and agree entirely!

If you think it`s bad here just check out the Big Brother forum next year... Now that place can get nasty and personal...... but it`s more addictive than the show itself .

There is not a lot wrong to be honest, just as long as people that give it out are willing to except some in return, all good fun and as said it is only a dancing comp...not a matter of life or death.

It was bad end of last season I gave up trying to post here... But at the moment its ok... I just stick to the Brendan thread, if I do bother to post here... Usually though I'm hiding in the F1 thread arguing about that instead ...
