Der Chef relays
Looking at last nights ITT my elderly Dad of 78 commented on Letitia by saying "Shes the one with a belly like a POISONED PUP" ![]() ![]() Anyways I hope its not Stephanie just yet anyway I have a feeling this year considering the demographics of who votes if any of the more fancied females Penny, Kelly Gabby screw up some week they could be straight out the door Ohhhhh Yeah

I'd really love Kelly to go then maybe in a few days I'd be able to pick up the newspapers and magazines and not see her face and body (admittedly, it's pretty good one) in them.
I had nothing against her to start with but I'm so sick and tired of seeing her in the papers and mags. I know chances of her being in the bottom two are about zero but it would shake things up a bit! Ultimately, based on what's been seen on ITT it will likely be Letitia or Kate (who will pick up sympathy votes from GMTV fans) based on their dance ability (or lack of it) or it could be down to personalities and Gaby's competitive streak could work against her. Who knows, we'll just have to wait until Saturday night (oops, sorry BBC, Sunday Night to find out.

Actually, I don't find that remark at all funny, der Chef. Am I the only one getting tired or rude offensive remarks about certain participants weight, size, shape etc.? I do hope not!

Letitia has a great personality, and am sure she can bring much more to the dances than some of the other slimmer |

You are not the only one Amy. As a dance teacher, I teach people of all shapes and sizes and frankly it has little or nothing to do with their dance ability, sense of rhythm, musicality or anything else!
Many of my dancers are far more talented and able than others two or three sizes smaller. Perhaps we could concentrate on how they dance, personality, commitment to the show, attitude, relationship with the professional dancer etc. If we did that, I have a feeling Letitia would be somewhere near the top. |

I would have thought that someone of 78yrs would have a little more respect. I think from what we saw last saturday I would expect Stephanie and possibly Letitia to be the bottom two, but nothing to do with their shape or looks...and I hope I am wrong about Letitia .I don't want to lose the Gentleman of SCD.

completely agree with you about it not being about size shape or weight..............
tbh......if dancing is naturally in your body, you can do it whatever size and shape you are.........look in the squares in Buenos Aires.............80 year olds dancing the tango and looking sensational because they FEEL the dance...... that to me is what its about - not looking like the perfect model - that doesn't guarantee you dance ability! |

Der Chef
Hey Folks you talk about size and shape you should lecture Arlene and Craig rather than me. I have seen in every series so far they have an idea of what a dancer should be like physically as though they are auditioning they for a west end production before they even get to the floor ![]() Ohh Yeah ![]() PS anybody who has any problems with any of my comments are free to hit the red button anytime

I think we could all be surprised, here.
If you look at the "popularity" factor which will affect the voting public slightly more than dance ability (at the beginning of the contest), THESE are the ladies who I think are LESS well known: ** Alesha Dixon ** Penny Lancaster You might all well know who Alesha Dixon is but as I'm in my 40s and not into pop music I did not have a clue who she was. Penny Lancaster -- is not really known in her own right, and might not gain a huge amount of support amongst the young female viewers (who often do the majority of the telephone voting). |

Rabbie Burns:
If only God would the power to give us, to see ourselves as others see us! (Obviously he wrote it a bit more Scottish than that. )Basically it means if you could see yourself from other people's point of view you just might change yourself. So don't criticise others unless you're damn perfect yourself.

If it came to a dance off between Stephanie and Letitia, it's obvious who the judges who get rid of. They are almost obligated to save Letitia as she's in the SCD tour and it wouldn't look good to have someone on the tour who got knocked out in the second week of the competition.
The best thing all round would be for Kate to dance the first show and then anounce her retirement in the second show so that there wasn't an actual elimination. I really can't see her progressing any further with the state of her feet.

I don't think the judges are "obligated" to keep Letitia in - I hope we are not going down the usual "conspiracy route" there. Even if she does go early, she is still popular enough to appeal to an audience, and is the only logical partner to Darren on the tour.
However, I agree with Force Ten on her second point, that Kate is unlikely to be able to stay the course in terms of fitness. If she has tendonitis it takes weeks to recover properly and needs rest. So if she makes a token attempt this week, she will leave with dignity and avoid one of the ladies going too early, when it appears they are more talented than many of the men. |

I don't see what the problem would be with Letitia doing the tour even if she gets knocked out tomorrow, assuming she doesn't mind doing a bit more training with Darren in between. She might even welcome the chance to prove herself. |

On another note, can we start a petition for Anton and Erin to do the tour as well.
