why does it always hve to be a fix? and judges only voting to keep the married couple thing going? As a neutral the worst dancer on the dance off went - simple as
At least with this format there will be some judging of the dances and not total reliance on the publics judgement of personalities. Remember how shocking it was last year when Spoony was voted out way too soon by the public, that would not have happened this year. |

There is no 'fix', people. Get a grip.

Anyone else think the voting juding is a bit rubbish, and gives Len too much power?...The only way Len doesn't get to decide is if the three other judges go for someone else...

I said that in the event of a tie the one with the lowest number of viewer votes should go ... then realised it defeats the object of the exercise

Reading it like that one judge does have too much power, but tbh I'd rather it was Len than any of the others
Face it, he's pretty much like Andrew Lloyd Webber in that he picks the final three. Which is understandable for Maria/Joseph, but not SCD... |

This might cause some uproar but i don't care.
Glad Karen went didn't like her last year her and marks big headed attitude and glad she is first out this year. BTW do the bbc think we are stupid, watched the results then approx 1hr later after watching X-factor turned on rugby and saw Kenny Logan. Why change the bloody format. |

Yeah, I mean Len is pretty fair, but it still gives him a large override over both the other judges and the people at home....I'm not really sure he wants to be in that position.

I haven't seen Maria/Joseph, is ALW the only person offering comments and are they marked or ranked too?
He had no say in the final though, that was totally based on public votes. *would like to say that I did not make all 3 million votes although my phonebill would indicate otherwise* |

Or is it possible for anyone to be saved from elimination like Fame Academy Bottom two go into a sing off, and ALW decides who to save from that. Very similar now, unless the three judges pick someone different from who Len would have done... |

There's other judges which give their opinion (no votes). Then only the public vote.

No. There is a panel to offer comment and then the last two in the public vote do a sing off for ALW and he decides who remains in the competition (only fair seeing as there is a lucrative theatre contract at stake!).

On a positive note, how good were Darren and Lilia and Vincent and Flavia in the pro dance? Excellent!

Hi all, just watched it now. Was spoiled for who went out but didn't comment earlier as I wanted to see what happened. I don't really like either Karen or Ola, but I probably am a bigger Karen fan. Having said that I think the result was fair. Brian was a worse dancer, particularly in the danceoff tonight and it was fair for Kenny to stay in. From a personality point of view I think Brian and Karen would have given more value to the show as Kenny and Ola seem very bland but it was the right decision. I'm very confused over Craig's reason for saving Brian, I thought it was supposed to be based on the dance off, not potential.
Loved the pro dances, particularly Lilia/Darren and Flavia/Vincent. How amazing was that samba. Really happy to see Alesha recognised as good. I didn't see all that much of her but her spins at the end of the dance looked really good from what I could see. Letitia also looked good, although whoever is dressing her in the wardrobe dept needs to be fired. The poor girl. Gabby looked a bit clumsy to me, which surprised me cos I thought she looked good last night. I agree with whoever said Stephanie looked shoved to the back. |

I had family over and forgot it was on today.
![]() I just caught the result but it was on a grainy tv and I couldn't really hear it! Here's hoping someone will put it on you tube. I didn't really like the way the result are done because the public don't get the final vote anymore. I knew that Brian and Karen would go out as soon as they were in the bottom two as the judges didn't seem to like them. If the judges really like a couple there is no way that they can be voted out as they always have the last say. Also if it come to a tie I think that the viewer vote should decide it rather than Len |

I wonder if audience members are told to bring two outfits along to the show or whether they have to ship the first lot out and bring in a new lot for part two. Also, on the trailer for the results show earlier today, Tess was wearing the same dress as last night, talking about tune in tonight for the results. This is all very pernickity, but surely the Beeb must have thought about these inconsistencies....
Husband thinks they make everyone shift along a seat or two
