Yep, go to settings, shuffle and click it onto on. You will still have to pick a first song of course, but should work fine.

You can also artifially shuffle it by sorting the playlist randomly in the first place. No real benefit to it but may save you turning it on and off for certain playlists.

Could you explain how to do that, please? I always wondered if it is possible to sort playlists like you can in iTunes, for example, by track name, artist or date added.
