You could tell it wasn't 'live' cos Arlene had the same necklace on

There wouldn't be a problem with the fact that it was recorded on Saturday - which most people will have guessed for themselves - but they shouldn't try to give the illusion that it is happening 'live'.

I would guess that it's recorded as live so any mistakes might be left in except major technical ones. But I agree with other comments that the Sunday show was padded and lacked the continuity of having the 2 Saturday shows. BTW the Sunday show just said *from London* not LIVE as per the Saturday show.

But looking at the BBC1 schedule last Saturday where would they have fitted the results show in, without starting the main SCD show earlier or having a later start for MOTD?

This new format must mean a long night for the performers, presenters and production staff!

Sure, but I guess it finishes later than if the results show was LIVE!

I love SCD but found myself sitting there yesterday thinking, please get on with it.

I also felt patronised by the change of clothes etc. to make us feel like it was actually a Sunday show.

The repeated comments from the celebs in the audience was ridiculous. There seems to be an obsession with cramming in as many celebs as they can on SCD and the spin off show (besides the dancing celebs of course)
I don't see what they add to the show.
They are going to much in the DWTS direction with montages of training clips which is what they have It Takes Two for

And we have the prospect of yet more fluff and padding on It Takes Two - it's quite incredible how they manage to find content for these programmes every night.

i preferred Karen and Marks waltz from last year really disney and loved the song and the dress, but each to their own.

Also i thought John barnes was terrible and had no idea why the judges ranked him top of the leader board old school footie fans i guess, or they want to help the bloke lose a few pounds.

Yes, that was the ridiculous part . a really bad move by the BBC. I really do hope that the viewing figures come back and bite them where it hurts, as they are well on there way towards destroying a good pair of shows.

John's OK but he definitely needs to shed a few pounds - that outfit didn't help him either!

I thought they were a bit harsh on Gethin; the male celebrities aren't as good this year but I think he had one of the better performances.

This move is madness and has already failed.

It was beaten by X Factor last night (SCD got 6.8 million viewers) and next week is up against Emmerdale - a show that has to have similar demographics. It is cheating the viewers to force them to choose.

It cannot be live on Sunday as half the cast (Bruno, Len, the voice man etc) are flying to the US to do the show there. This goes out on Monday and Tuesday - LIVE.

So it looks like SCD are selling the UK viewers diown the river for the money overseas.

Len is even recycling what he says if you watch the US show on UK Gold (both the Monday and Tuesday episodes are repeated there on the Friday night for UK viewers). He used two near identical lines fron last weeks US shows!
