Re the Sunday night result show and the judges choosing who goes through?

IMO and my partners and the families it is all backfired awfully. Kenny was not as good imo as Brian who acted it well, for one...and everyone should do the same dance, as was mentioned on the show, and for two....it is fast becoming the X 'fix' factor.

The reason Kenny and Ola stayed imo (and as a Scottish rugby fan I am a huge Kenny fan) is that Karen had won before and they wanted to keep the marriage partnership thing going with the 2 couples. Big no no from all of us. The one thing my mates and family have always done on SCD is vote on the dancing...not who we fancy, not who is popular, but who is good. And we have watched from series one.

And the Sunday show....why? Went out for a few jars with my mates last night instead of staying in with the family to watch the show as I usually would....I could understand it if the voting kept going 24 hours, but it didn't. So why?

One thing...at least Claudia was her usual random self tonight and Bruce the same. Some things will never change. Oh, and a joy to watch Karen and Mark again.

Nono of my crew will be voting until we know our votes count (I could put twenty quids of votes in for Brian tonight and it would not have mattered) so I think this is a real case of 'why try and mend what ain't broke.'

The BBC are in hot enought water as it is at the mo...why mess with their most succesful show?

So.....Yay or nay to the changes?

I say Nay BBC.

Don't think it was a fix at all - Brian acted it really well and I love Karen, but he made a few mistakes and his footwork was dodgy throughout. Kenny was far from perfect, but he did a better overall job in my opinion.

Loving more dancing on the results show, but Brucie's links dragged on a bit!

It has to be a big Nay from me.

It just lacks that tension knowing you are seeing something that has already happened.

Especially when you turn on Radio 5 Live 5 minutes after the show ends and hear a certain former Scottish Rugby international amongst the commentary team.

The only people who could think this change is a good one is anyone involved with X-Factor or ITV.

I like it. My daughter always stayed up far too late on a Saturday!

Otherwise, I think there will be far less votes now - CIN will be a loser.

I have to say, I thought Brian was the worst. I don't think either were very good and Kenny won;t be around for very much longer either.

It's a nay for me... all the other years you would watch the results show, and they would make their pleas for votes, and you would think "OMG, I need to vote for my fave again!!" And the anticipation would build...

So, though it may save money, it's taken away that excitement... totally.

And I hate the dance off.

Bit peed off to be honest!

If it aint broke dont fix it!

That said sometimes the public get it wrong so I can half accept the judges having a casting vote (think Spoony going instead of Georgia last year)!

But I CANT ACCEPT having to wait a day for a pre-recorded results show. Sadly I knew the result before it was shown today because I stumbled across a forum that didnt have a spoiler tag, which spoilt it for me as the tension of a live show had gone.

I just hope that when we get to the final stages they see sense and stick it back on on one night.

Nay from me- the only change for the better is the increase in dancing in the results show, but since this is all filmed on the Saturday night anyway I don't see why they couldn't have done that without changing the format.

Still think giving the judges the final say was a bad move- Craig completely disregarded the fact that he was supposed to vote on that performance only and picked Brian even though he acknowledged they made loads of mistakes.

And the fact that it wasn't live and we all knew the result... well I watch anyway because I love the pro dances so much, but I know plenty of people won't bother if they know the result and the X Factor is on the other side!

haha my niece has this problem. Well she doesn't, her mum is the one who doesn't like it lol So its great for her. I would either have to tape it for her as she went up to bed crying or she would stay up after much pleading. Peace on sat nights!

NAY!! Its ridiculous that they have changed it. Strictly belongs on a saturday. I hate what they have done. And do they think we are stupid? Tess changing her dress is not going to fool us into thinking its live on sunday....

Kenny had a much more safe , boring routine so of course he appearred to dance better.

But is boring and safe what we really want to watch

Karen and Brian's routine was more complicated and as his son said "atmospheric"

Great big Nay from me

The biggest 'let's pretend' on TV got the thumbs down.

A nay from me too !!

All this change is down to two things...

1) to try and compete with the Z Factor on Sunday night !

2) in the past us the public have nearly always voted for someone who wasn't that good to start with....in the case of Chris Parker right to the end....and the judges + the Beeb don't like it !!

Last year you could tell they wanted Emma or Louise to get to the final and it's been the same every year.

I won't be voting again because our votes no longer count !

BTW really sorry to see Karen go out...she is my fave !!

It totally ruins the sense of jeopardy and excitement felt on Saturday nights as you wondered who would go. It's exciting to see a result LIVE. Not so exciting when you know you were left out of it and all you're seeing is the recorded highlights a whole day later. Silly BBC.... ruining the format of one of the best Saturday night brands they've had in years.

There's is nothing else on TV I want to watch so I probably won't be turning off
