Nay, for the following reasons:

- I am not the sort of person who can avoid spoilers and knowing the result spoils it for me, though I'll always watch

- I get annoyed at programmes that pretend to be live when they clearly are not

- The night is clearly too long for Bruce as he fluffed his lines and links even more as the programme went on

- The judges having the final say makes one less likely to phone in a vote

I find the judges having the final say OK actually, I think they got it right this time (Craig aside, but maybe he voted for Brian just to keep the suspense up as it was clear Kenny was better) Means the Schmeichel types will be kicked off earlier.

It's treating the viewers as idiots that annoys me the most, especially in this period where TV companies are supposed to be totally transparent.

Kenny Logan was on ITV's live rugby coverage 10 minutes after the show ended. I expect the BBC would have us belive he uses the TARDIS as well.

I am not really into politics on TV...but I do know the beeb have had a few probs with Blue Peter, etc....and have had a few people resign.

I know, as I come on here, that the show tonight was recorded yesterday. I know that people on here went to see the show and knew who went yesterday. I know it is not live. I could have found out on the net who went but chose not to look.

But....

Not everyone goes on the net.

SCD is one of those delightful old fashioned shows that put the 'oooomph' back into Saturday night telly. We all know the X facter is a bit fixed whether we like it or not.

I just came upstairs to watch the last bit of the rugby.

To see Kenny Logan commentating and see that he had been all night was so patronising to me as a 'lifelong' SCD fan.

The beeb are in hot water as it is. SCD is their most successful show pretty much.

Why patronise us all with lies of a live show tonight, and then have one of the people in the dance off, doing commentary on ITV.

It beggars belief! If you are a viewer who does not come on forums or the net..(alot of the SCD viewing public) and did not expect that...I think that is pretty ***** from the beeb tbh.

And this year they have a great line up on SCD....but at the end of the day we are the ones who vote and yet now have to rely on what the judges say or do.

Don't patronise us BBC...be loyal to your viewers as we are, and have been, to you.

A big nay from me too, don't like the changes at all.

If they want to have the results on a Sunday, they should really film it live on a Sunday, although that would mean that the couples don't have the option of a day off and they'd have increased studio costs etc. It's a very strange decision to stretch it over two nights - presumably ratings-chasing, but it really does detract from the flow of the show.

I don't mind the changes so much re the judges having final say, although I do think that (for example) Penny and Ian would have to both fall over and then do the wrong dance for Bruno to vote them out, because Ian can do no wrong where Bruno is concerned.

I do think they should shift it back to Saturday night and give the results show more time then. Perhaps by cancelling Casualty (just my personal dream, although I know that millions of people tune in every week to see exactly how the boy and his kite are going to interact with that ominous pylon, and how wrinkled Charlie's brow can get over the ensuing electrocution excitement).

Another nay from me - it was an awful show - no point in it at all as anyone could come on DS and find out the result without reading the spoiler thread.........

The BBC must think we are mad - and we are not as stupid as they think - what a thing to do to one of their most popular shows.

1. The judges made the right decision overall. Craig was wrong to save Brian based on "potential". Kenny danced better, although I still found him boring. He seems a bit like a Ken doll.

The bad.....
1. The dance off. I really didn't need to see those dances again.

2. Even though the judges made the right decision tonight, I still disagree with them getting the final say.

3. The group dance was too crowded.

4. No tension whatsoever, as I knew who was going. I was tempted not to bother watching after all the dancing was over.

I'm a nay if only for the fact that i've been to scared to read the newspapers or to switch on the computer all day in case I found out who got booted before the show aired. And how did they think they would fool us that it was live when the audience was in the same clothes they had on in saturdays show

Another nay from me. If it was live on Sunday, I could live with it. But since it is recorded on Saturday - bl&&dy show it on Saturday! The whole charm of SCD is that it is live. The wait for the results takes all the tension out of it, especially when we know that if we looked on this forum we could find out the result 20 hours ahead of time.

And after all the palaver with the bbc grovelling about lying about the Queen and the Blue Peter cat, they 'lie' again (not that I care, but since they are all falling on their swords you'd think they would think twice about this) with Tess saying to the contestants "last night was really tense" when we all know it was recorded on the same night. The most ridiculous thing was turning over to itv rugby tonight and seeing Kenny Logan commentating in the studio, when he should barely have had time to get his dancing shoes off.

IMO the answer is to shift Robin s&dding Hood to the Sunday night slot, move Casualty forward, and have the SCD results at 9pm on Saturday.

Means that if 2 judges vote for A and 2 vote for B, i.e. 50/50, then whoever Len voted for stays, as he has the deciding vote, which is fair as he is the head judge.

Ironically the year they introduce the dance off is the year they least need it. There doesn't seem to be a complete no hoper in the mix who will be hanging on week after week with the fan vote. Willie is going to produce good ballroom at least and Stephanie looks like she could do the same. The girls are looking good, the guys have potential.

A definate nay from me as other people said if it is not broke do not change the format. Can we have vote thread please DS????

Only a nay from me because it means that I cannot come on here from the second the live Saturday night show finishes until after the results show on Sunday night.

I cannot even go into other parts of the entertainment forums as the clue is right there on the page with what dancers' thread is the last post.

I spent today on the net and out and about and this site was the only place that gave the game away and that is without going in the SPOILER thread.

So it has to be a nay for that reason alone - the suspense would work for me even without it being live, I hope and believe the dance off would avoid another Spooney, and I couldn't care less about it not being live - being spoiled is the downer and having to avoid the whole of the DS forums for 24 hours.

I think having the show on a Sunday is a good idea, stretches it out over the weekend, but only if we can vote til then.

I dont think the judges should have the final say, the unique thing about Strictly was that their scores get added to the public vote.

However I do like the fact that we have a bottom two, I know we have had them before, but I just thought it was pointless announcing the bottom two, getting them to stand centre stage and then announce who is going. I think there should be a Dance Off, but that we the public should be voting on Sunday, who we want to stay. This way I think it allows us to save someone who maybe we didnt vote for because we thought they would be safe.

There might have been some value in an extra show this week if it had been used as a special opening weekend, so that all the couples got to dance, we then voted at the end of the second show from all the couples and had an elimination later the same night.

Hate it Its all a Big Fat Lie pretending that its live and is a completely patronising insult to the audience.

It doesn't improve on the original one little bit and is in very real danger of actually spoiling the original with too much tedious padding.

The hideous 'Dance Off' (gawd, how I loathe that stupid phrase) and the judges having the final say are changes of the very worst kind.

Oh, also I forgot to say, it really confused my Gran who's used to it being all on the same night. She's getting a bit fuzzy so this makes it more likely that she'll forget to watch the results and will be disappointed. So, personally, because I don't want my Gran to be sad, I'd like it to be changed back!

Though I liked the extra dances they were doing, I think it's completely daft to pass off the Sunday results show as live when it clearly isn't.

Well, we will find out tomorrow morning whether moving the results show to Sunday nights has being a hit or a miss.

Less than 6 million viewers will mean a HUGE error and most likely return to sat nights in afew weeks.

between 6 and 8 million is good news, no return to sat for now.

and over 8 million viewers is great news and means this will happen again next year.

But there was no Emmerdale or corrie this week or next week so we will have to wait a week on Sunday before we really know how its doing.

If your going to have it one Sunday then at least let it be live. Talk of it that it will cost to much is a poor excuse. The format has been sold all around the world and has made a few quid for the BBC. So I think they can afford it.

Keep it on Saturday and either switch Robin Hood to Sunday or reduce the length of the Lottery show. Just show the draw. This way there can be a longer live show on a Saturday night.

Plus the judges haveing the final say - do we want their egoes getting any bigger.
