I just wanted to add my 'nay'. I know I'm not good at change, but this just wasn't the same, even though I didn't know the result and hadn't twigged, naively, that it wasn't live. I thought the Dance Off was cruel and embarrassing for everyone, and Brian danced knowing he didn't have a chance, you could see it in his face.

If the judges are tied, it should be whoever gets the most votes from the public who stays, not Len's casting vote. But I hate it being up to the judges at all, especially since they strike me as often biased and irrational - sorry - and I really don't think they have taken on board how unpopular this is going to make them, especially Len, as the people who disagree with their decisions will remember it much longer than the people who agree. (Or maybe that's just me - I'm still angry with Andrew Lloyd Webber for voting Daniel off Joseph! But at least there it was his show - this is just for a big glitterball. If it isn't picked by the public, what's the point?)

Yay'! (ish!) Oh god I'm useless - but on the positives, I love that SCD is now on EVERY DAY of the week - as in the october to december months I have no life other than SCD (tragic I know) also the results show on a sat is sometimes on too late for my daughter who loves it so she used to say on a sunday morning "who went out mummy".

Negatives - the voting should be for 24 hours and they should all get off their butts and get down to the studio so that it's LIVE!!

Well, with two half yay's on this thread but 100 nay's, have to say I hope the beeb realise what a cock up they have made...and also look at other similoar threads and think the same.

Even my 'not into dancing' at all brother said to me tonight it was a farce watching Kenny Logan on ITV last night just after the show on BBC1.

If they were going to do this....which bigwig at the beeb didn't realise and check the schedules, to see that seeing Kenny on ITV would make the whole BBC1 show a complete and utter mess?

To me, what makes a nonsense of it is that the voting is actually all over on Saturday.

If we'd had 'till the Sunday show to vote, that could have been interesting. It might have mattered less who went first, last etc in the dancing, for example.

Re the other change - giving the final decision to the judges - I think it'll depend on how the judges use this power. ...

not wisely, Arlene and Craig had completely spurious reasons for their choices on Saturday night, surprisingly just like the Great British Public, GIVE IT BACK TO US

Did you never think of recording it for her to watch on Sunday morning?

Also... I used to like watching the full repeat on a Sunday too! So it was kind of on 7 days a week...

In an effort to avoid spoilers, I didn't come on here for the second half of the weekend, nor did I risk looking at/watching/listening to anything else entertainment related, but even then, the final result lacked tension for me. I admit it was only week one, but when previous years have had me gripping my cushion with the tension, it's clear that the changes aren't for the better. Even putting aside the judges having the final say (my jury's still out on that), on a Saturday night my excitement is high, by Sunday evening I'm just tired and not really caring about anything.

My first thought when I heard about this change was 'who is gonna bother voting now' seeing as it's the judges who decide in the end. I'm certainly not gonna bother, even if it for charity!

I can live with the judges making the final decision - it worked OK with Andrew LW on Maria and Joseph.

But I HATE this Sunday business for all the reasons already discussed. I hate having to wait, I hate the overlong results show, I hate the fact the party continues on Saturday night without us, the loyal viewers.

So a resounding NAY from me.

from that link

"Moreover, some insiders are suggesting that, if the BBC is implicated in the deception, Peter Fincham, the former Controller of BBC One, will be required to ask for his job back so that he can resign again."

LOL . The BBC should reconsider this. Fincham was responsible for some disasterous decisions. If it wasn't for Kelly Brook I think I could give up on this series. The voting seems so crap.

this is an incredibly good point, but I think you should still vote to keep your faves out of bottom two and not let those judges get their hands on em. BTW what happens at the final - is that purely a viewer vote for the winner - i would think it would have to be wouldn't it?

To Quote Brendan from last year...THEY HAVE FINNALLY LOST THE PLOT...

It’s a disgrace....the show on Sunday was boring. drawn out...and the crap about showing more behind the scene’s is rubbish as well ....What’s ITT about during the week...Total Overload...and the suspense is gone from Saturday....GET A GRIP BBC..and stop messing with our Saturday Night Viewing. cause I wont be watching on Sunday..!!
