Seeing as the only reason was to boost their Sunday night ratings (don't listen to the rubbish about more pro dancing etc), then if it isn't a success I can definitely see it being moved back.

There doesn't seem to be much media interest in revealing the result before the show. The only time I heard it mentioned was after the show. People are still going to tune in on Sunday just to find out the results
It will be a few weeks before the schedules are back to normal to check the ratings. It's gonna be a big mistake putting it opposite the soaps.

How do they know who watches anyhow? I have never quite understood that. I've certainly never been asked! I don't agree either with the decision to televise a recorded results show on Sunday. I wouldn't have minded if it was live but it is still too padded with regurgitated clips. The only thing that saves it is the pros' dance but even that doesn't really make up for the floppiness of the format in comparison to what it was. If they are going to change something, change the presenters I say! B & T are as annoying as each other - they should take a leaf out of the DWtS presenters' books.

Can you ask them, if they are going to keep the format the same, please do not pretend it's live on Sunday. It makes one feel like a complete prat watching as everyone KNOWS it was Saturday.

Totally agree - go back to results on a Saturday night please!!

Why not just have a live show on the Sunday. I say that the BBC are a disgrace for not having it live.

only 3 on there so far - go sign folks! I was listening very closely yesterday and they carefully didn't say 'LIVE' as they do on Saturday, but the average viewer isn't going to notice that. (Tho comments were made about Kenny Logan being in two places at once on Wogan this morning so many more people know now!!)

Having read the spoiler thread (and the Karen one which wasn't marked as inc spoilers but which you didn't have to be a genius to work out from the comments!) it did take the tension out of the results.

It worked tho - I sat and watched BBC1 from Bruce in Vegas until after 10 last night, where I'd probably not have seen anything on it til Michael Palin at 9.

I've signed it. But there are only 5 signatures so far! Come on folks - get signing. We can change things if we try hard enough!

Perhaps a new thread should be started just about the petition, more people might see and sign then.

I've signed it as well and I've also just mailed a complaint in to the BBC about it as well via the BBC homepage 'Complaints' link

I suggest everyone mail the Beeb until they're sick of hearing from us Strictly fans and switch it back to Saturdays!

I agree with you all. The results show is just too slight to stand alone the following day, and the 'as-live' atmosphere seems forced. I'm also miffed about how early the Saturday show starts - I used to like to have a little drinkie while watching, but it feels too early now! Why Casualty is considered peaktime Saturday night TV is a mystery to me.
