hi,

just wondering whats the smallest lcd you can get that will show full 1080 picture? I currently have a 26" and the tv cuts a chunk of the picture off as the picture is too big for it to display so I was thinkin of lookin into gettin a tv to get the benefit of the 1080 pic of skyhd

You've got either your Sky box set wrong, your TV set wrong, or both set wrong - any set should show all the picture, regardless of the actual screen resolution. Presumably your 26 inch will be 768 pixels?, and it will scale the incoming signal either up or down to make it fit - I take it that it is an HD Ready TV?.

hd ready hucked up via hdmi, best way to describe it is it centres the picture and anything thats not the size of the screen gets cut off.

I have my LG tv set to hdmi --> dtv I also tried hdmi --> pc and had same results. Currently have sky set to 720p which fits the screen perfectly

Check the settings on your TV, it should scale the picture to fit the screen - unless there's an option somewhere to turn it off?. Setting the Sky HD box to 720P or 1080i shouldn't affect the displayed screen size at all.
