Take That are now at 6/1 to get the No.1!

McFly are second favourites now with Leona just in the lead by a very close margin.

As someone posted Paddy Power have Leona strong favourite now. Disappointing for Take That is McFly look sure to top them too. They'll be really worried about that.

I don't think Mcfly will top them, there well behind TT on record sales.

McFly will peak early but I'm sure they'll be beaten by Take That on Sunday.

I dunno where you have those figures from but the info I have is as follows :

Take That have sold out in a number of stores across the country and their sales are well up on what Patience was at this stage but Leona is said to be outselling them by quite a lot.

I predict we're going to get the biggest sales of the year this week by some distance. Some weeks 20 odd thousand will get you to number one, this week 20,000 would be lucky to make top 5.

The only thing I don't understand is McFly. They will surely sell their usual amount i.e around 40,000 sso why do Paddy Power have them at 5/2 (from memory)? Am puzzled with that.

2/5 Leona
6 Take That.

Take That deserve to be number one, but unfortunately Leona will get it.

Rumour has it that Leona Lewis sold 66,000 by yesterday night, Take that sold 29,000.

High sales indeed if thats true.

Looks like Leona is a cert now then. The real race looks to be for second place I still don't understand why McFly are expected to chart above Take That.

There's quite a big fuss brewing now and conspiracy theories abound. Take That fans are moaning they're struggling to get hold of their single in stores across the nation whereas Leonas are readily available. Accusations of Simon Cowell's influence being prominant in many ways.

Don't you just love it?

LOL love when conspiracies come about when people don't get what they want. People have struggled to get Leona's single this week too as it has been selling out in shops but you can't use that as an excuse these days when songs can be downloaded.

There's no way of knowing whats going on within the industry what retailers have been instructed etc but Simon Cowell is an extremely powerful man who's influence will no doubt have hugely boosted the sales of Leona's song.

We'll see how Leona does in good time when she has to stand on her own two feet without the backing of Simon or the help of X-Factor.

I love Leona Lewis's song (and I didn't expect to at all) - finally we've got a British star in the making.

No, I don't believe the conspiracy stuff but I know the chart industry is as much about marketting / image / promotion as it is anything else.

Leona's song is good and deserves to be number one, that said Take That's is growing on me also.

Its just a shame we couldn't have a genuine race without the might of Simon Cowell behind Leona
