Penny and Ian
Bob Yarwood
08-10-2007
Now that Karen has gone, my best hope of seeing some really good dancing is Ian and Penny. I hope they do the Slow Foxtrot, as I still remember that beautiful Slow Foxtrot that Ian did with Denise Lewis, which remains my favourite dance of all the series so far.

I still have videos of Ian and Karen dancing as amateurs with their respective partners in the UK Championships at Bournemouth in the early 90s - incidentally the only time in TV history that a real ballroom championship has been broadcast.

Ian is a true 10-dance man - I just wish he would wear proper competition white tie and tails when he does the ballroom dances, and comb his hair!

Hello Bob Yarwood. You sound very knowledgeable on ballroom dancing, it would be great to have an expert's view. They already have quite a few followers on an already existing Ian and Penny thread. Can I persuade you to join in over there to avoid a duplicate thread?

Btw, videos of Ian and Karen from the early nineties, wow! Is there any way you could find to share them on line? I'm sure a lot of people would love you forever if you did.

I don't know how to share them online but I am in the process of re-recording them onto DVDs. Anyone interested in getting copies can send a personal message to me through this website.

Hi Bob --- It's always nice to have another Ian fan but why not join us on the other thread. I nearly missed this one!

OK - I'm just getting the hang of this thread business!
