Please tell your celeb that they can only give 100%. Any other (110, 150 or even in times of maximum effort 200%) is impossible.

We are totally aware of the fact they do not want to leave - and that they will, indeed, be 'gutted' should they do so.

Wheeling out the cute child or the aged relative is to be avoided - and in certain circumstances can smack of desperation.

Can I add Pauline Quirke to the list of non-dancing celebs who genuinely love the show?

If you represent the contestants remind them that in career terms winning doesn't mean a damn, coming out of it as likable, hardworking, and respectful of their partner does. Several of the previous contestants - eg Aled, James Martin, Julian Clary - have arguably done better out of it than people who scored higher.
DO:- encourage your non-dancing celeb clients on to ITT if the are GENUINE SCD FANS (and are funny - like Marian Keyes and that welsh bloke who looks like Anton )

DOOOOON'T:- encourage your non-dancing celeb clients on to ITT if they are just going to shamelessly plug and have only watched one programme!

Loving this thread, particularly the OP and the above bits ^^^. I loved Marian Keyes' and Pauline Quirke's interviews on ITT. Would also add Jill H to the list of contestants who came across in the way described by jtnorth. The joint interview that she and Aled gave early on in SCD 2 is one of the funniest things ever on ITT.

Um....don't know actually. I just remember it when it was broadcast because I ached laughing afterwards! Think I had it on tape briefly but then went over it Will have a little look and see if I can find it.

If you are Tess Daly's manager, you should at least try and stop the wardrobe department from dressing her in old Quality Street wrappers every week.

If you have any influence with the production side of the show, please ask the camermen and producers to show the dancers, not the audience, the ceiling, the floor and every part of the studio. And please keep the camera steady on the whole of the dancers not just their faces.

To the Scriptwriter's relatives, agents or managers - Please pass this on. Don't give Brucie such crap jokes, you're making him look a fool, SCD is top notch high quality entertainment, not Butlins 1957. Okay?
I was cringing with embarrassment at Brucies jokes on Sat, please tell me he does not write them himself because some of them were harsh & rude imo & I did not think he was nasty like that. Mind you he could have refused to say them I suppose (shame on you Brucie have some gumption & make a stand for niceness). Maybe cos he is such a celebrity icon no one has the guts to tell him how awful the jokes were & he's too out of touch to realise??

Also I've just looked up Letitias age & she's just about to hit 40 like me . Agent, please, please give her a couple of glasses of wine & strap her to a chair & make her watch herself dancing in that awful creation on wide-screen, HD TV (that's what I had to endure ). Now please be brutally honest with her & let her know she is too old & too apple shaped to wear those dresses. To me she looks like she's been tangoed, had her teeth over florescented & is a box on sparrow legs imo.
Now it's not all doom & gloom, she has a lovely face, what appears to be a nice personality, she'll probably loose weight if she stays in - so all she has to do is stop going on the sunbed, drink loads of coffee/tea to stain the teeth a bit darker & tone down the wardrobe more in keeping with her age & shape.

.
This always irritates me. Why pick a random number? Why 110% why not 157%? One of my huge bugbears.

Also, please please stop Bruce from using obvious cliches to perv on the female pros/ dancers -ie -'yes she has got a lovely top', - Flavia looked mortified and it makes me want to hide behind my pillow in a 'Vodermans Rumba' type moment.

Dear Managers and Agents, I think we need to add to the DOs and DON'Ts list.

DOs

Are you Kate's agent? Do encourage her to invite Arlene onto the breakfast sofa and then be really really rude to her on live TV.

For those managing Kelly, do please remind her that the "who me?" thing will just annoy us.

DON'Ts

Don't let your clients invite their partners to sit in the audience if they are just going to look grumpy and bored.

Don't just sit there whilst your client, Letitia, is being dressed so badly. You've clearly ignored our advice from last week - you're sacked.

I think this should be in capital letters, and include the obligatory rocket up the ****** for Mr/Ms 20%!

Also, Mindy, I agree with a gadzillion percent (plus) - how stupid is more than 100%? how can it be? is there some hidden mathematical secret that everyone knows but us?

Please ban your celeb from ever using the word 'journey.' As in 'this is the most incredible journey I've ever undertaken.'

Makes me want to scream.
