Has "It takes two" always been so boring?

As a fan of ITT, you take the "rough" with the "smooth" although, IMO, there hasn't been much "rough" so far - just the show "settling in". There are so many contestants at the moment that there's a lot to cram in. As they're eliminated, we'll get to see more of the remaining couples training etc, I expect - HOPE.
Don't want any celebs on who have nothing to do with the show though, we can do without them plugging their latest single/show etc!

In answer to the question of this title- YES!! ITT is no match for the superior SCD on 3, which the wonderful Justin Lee Colins hosted during the first series. Far more interesting and entertaining. There was always something fun going on in each episode. ITT is tame in comparision.

I thought it was really good last night, lovely seeing the Ladies in training ,Kelly and Brendan looked hot, as did Penny and Ian , I don't fancy Stephanies chances ,but they are having fun. Roll on saturday night.

Lucky us. Both SCD and ITT are about to burst into (West)life. Thought it was bad enough that the Radio Times has them appearing on ITT next Tuesday, but they're also on the SCD results show on Sunday. Anyone want to bet that we have to put up with their latest single on both days?

I noticed her too. PR people are a little weird and self-important I have found...

I nearly flipped out when I heard about Westloife.

Not much makes my blood boil, but they do. Every freaking year.

Why, BBC, why???????

They're going to be hawking yet another MOR 'buy-this-CD-for-your-mum/aunt/nan/personwithnotaste-for-Christmas' album.

AND it is clear that none of them gives a flip about the programme.

WHERE'S PAULINE & THE BALL???

Trust me, Marian, Pauline and Michael will be in the show again sometime. I am quite sure of that, even though I have no evidence or any proofs...

Perhaps because they are very popular and have sold over 36Million records, you know me from another forum where I have had Shane as my avatar...each to their own I say.

I just hope they aren't performing their single over the end credits of ITT.
That's one of my favourite bits of the show, when they show funny training room moments.

I think they very likely will sing at the end of the show...

Maybe one of them was approached to do SCD but they turned it down. I don't know why, but I keep having this nagging feeling that they were trying to get a boy-band or ex-boy-band member into SCD somehow...

Selling 36m CDs may make you popular, but it doesn't make you good.

I'm sorry, they just don't move me at all.

If they're singing it on Sunday, why do we need to hear it again? It's not like the two shows have different audiences!
(Just IMO, I don't need to hear it at all. I've already heard Michael Buble's version)

My logic for saying that is this: If they don't sing, what else can they contribute to the SCD and their views??? They will possibly have none substantial whatsoever and the interview would be VERY boring, and maybe even embarrassing, ala David Cassidy last year...

I know you're right, it just annoys me. I can put up with the music act on Sundays not being my favourite because I mainly watch the dancing anyway (loved Michael Buble last week though so that was a big bonus)... I just don't see why Westlife should crowd out such a great part of ITT when they have already got their free publicity on the Sunday show and ITT interview.
(For the record I would feel the same about Michael Buble performing on ITT, it's not just because I hate Westlife)

Ok, will stop going on about it now!

ABSOLUTELY I never missed a single episode and still have loads of them on VT

I don't watch ITT that often by comparison - Claudia just grates on my every last nerve

Well said, Loulabelle.

Look how many records Crazy Frog sold ~ hardly an indicator of quality, eh?

(Actually, I'd rather Crazy Frog was on ITT / SCD than Westlife )

ITT is going through the phase of letting us get to know the couples more. I don't think it's ever brilliant at the beginning of the series but it'll settle down.”

Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that. She hardly gave the dancers room to get through the door and they almost had to go through single-file.

What was the point of having the flunkeys if she insisted on opening the doors I wonder? Did make me giggle though 'cos she did it with such a flourish!!

Really God, it's not like they even come across as fans of the show, sod it, that's both shows taped and those bits skipped. Isn't the blonde one too busy pretending to help Louis on the X Factor to do it (well, I can live in hope)
