LCD Again

Looking to upgrde to a Silver LCD ( is Silver going out of fashion? ) with a £500 Budget.

Current TV is a 28" CRT.

14' x 11' room roughly.

So what size LCD should I go for so that it dosen't dominate the room?

Post links if anyone can.

Thanks.

Silver is a little out of fashion, from what i have seen they are hard to get hold of.

Try to go for a nicer picture than a nicer TV. Dont get hung up on getting a silver one and slump for a crap picture.

Panasonic do the best 32" screens bet at around £700-£800 they are way over budget. As long as you go for a brand name you cant go far wrong.

Room size 14' 7" X 11' 3"

Seating will be 9ft or 10 ft away from the screen ( if that helps )

So would 32" LCD be too big or should I get a 26" or 27" ?

Thanks

Actually I just got a Panny T32LXD70 - great picture, even on sports (100Hz refresh), and Richer Sounds are doing it for 599 at the moment.

It is black not silver but looks quite nice IMO.

For the record I got it to replace a 28" Toshiba widescreen and it's about the same width unit due to having narrower "borders" around the screen.

A friend of mine has the LG 37LF66 but the picture looks like it has more "noise" when watching SD source than my Panasonic. Having said that I went for a 32 rather than 37 as the 37 would have been too tight a fit where I wanted to locate the screen (so my assessment might be in part due to screen size).
