SPilt Milk In Car - Can you help with smell
A colleague at work left carton of milk in his car for a fortnight!!!! It exploded and went all over the floor. He says it stinks to high heaven and has tried everything to get rid of smell including bicarb and all the usual suspects. Can any of you lovely people help?

Dilute white vinegar. 2 parts water to one part water. If it doesn't work then one part each and repeat.
It has to be allowed to dry between applications and the smell won't disappear until it's dried. |

Try spilling something with an even stronger scent over the milk spillage in order to overpower it.
Good luck! |

Do you have a steam cleaner? I bought a car that reaked of tobacco smoke. The previous owner was obviously a heavy smoker. Tried everything, but it still stank.
Used a steam cleaner right over the entire interior. (it's dry steam so does not get wet) and the smell has gone now thank gawd. Steam Cleaners have their uses, but apart from this I never use mine. Was a waste of money really, but was VERY useful for this. |

The smell of stale milk is awful - there's no smell in the world quite like it

LOL
![]() A few months ago, I forgot to take a fish out of my keep net before I packed everything up and went home. I leave my fishing stuff in the car as I cycle to work everyday, so rarely use the car. Can you imagine my surprise when I opened the car 3 weeks later to find one absolutely stinking, half melted and rotting fish carcass on the back seat?! Lovely. If you want rid of the smell of the milk, stick a dead perch in there for a week

There's a product called Stardrops out, it's amazing! Gets most things out and removes the niff too!

This thread made me laugh reminding me about a friend who had milk spilt in his car.
For ages he was going round thinking "what the hell is that smell"! After a few days when it was getting unbearable he investigated further to find that his dad had left one of the old bottles of milk (the ones with the foil top) in the boot full up thinking it would be ok and forgot about it (Of course the lid had come off and it had gone everywhere!
