ohhhhhhhh NO!

They are good as they are!

Vincent is sensitive and respectful of older women - Anton is to my mind a bit of a lech!

I don't think their characters would gel..........Vincent and Stephanie are just fine thank you!

As the primary consideration is height, the two smallest women have to be paired with ~Vincent and Darren.

Although as an Ian fan I'm rooting for Stephanie and Vincent as they seem to be working well together and she has come up with some howlers.

Diamond1 ---- thanks for reminding me of Tenko. One of the best things British televison has ever broadcast (was living in Canada at the time) and Stephanie was fantastic in it.

To those of you who have an attitude about age. Just how young are you planning on dying then? You are only old if you think and act it, otherwise, it's just a number.

If that's the case then I'm guessing you're either very young, or you lived most of your life in a box.

You know the young are quite funny where age is concerned, I used to work in a high school (teachers training) & the teenagers were so dismissive & derisive of anyone over 30 . Their attitude was most of the staff were all ancient & should not be allowed to have an opinion & should not be in charge because we were out-of-touch & out-of-date etc.
I used to tell them one day they would be over 30 & many even get to 80 & how would they feel when someone treated them like a second class citizen? They just cannot comprehend (or don't want to) the concept of growing old but still feeling young.

Although I don't watch soaps and don't really follow Stephanie's career, I like her very dry, old-shool charm and wit. She can be honest and direct, and yet a little catty but witty at the same time.

I hope she will not be the first to be out this Saturday. If Kate is still not fully recovered (I can't see how she could recover in such a short span of time!) and painful as it is, I hope the judges (and public) will end her misery.

I still think some of the men should go before Stephanie...

Sorry, I still think at the point of time, the guys are still underwhelming to say the least...

Yes, she signed up to learn ballroom, but I think she knows that when we speak strictly of 'ballroom' dances, we actually mean ballroom and latin dances, am I not right?

Also, Jane Seymour is now 56 and she's competing in the US version of SCD showing now in America. She was fantastic for her age and even did rather well despite her mother's death (her mother was a big SCD fan)...”

Yes, you are indeed right. The show is regularly referred to as a ballroom dancing show, not "a ballroom and latin dancing show".

SCD --- I think most people on DS would agree with you.

It's disappointing (and arrogant) that the BBC have ignored the wishes of many for the last two years with regards to allowing everyone to dance the first week with no knockouts. We could have had a 90 minute feast of dancing instead of this stupid men one week, women the next with immediate evictions.

She really showed what a fine actress she is in that role. No make-up and dirty and dishevelled as life in a Japanese prisoner of war camp would be depicted.

She also played the bitchy part in The Colbys brilliantly too but that was all glamour as opposed to Tenko.

Wish they'd repeat Tenko actually.

Castanet --- Tenko is available on DVD now. Not sure of the cost but you could try Play.com or Amazon. Maybe it will pop up some day on UK Gold.

Stephanie really showed her acting ability in that role. I think it was probably the best thing she's done although I did enjoy watching her in The Colbys and Bad Girls.

Ah bless ya - you must be really young (or not like dodgy tv!)

The Colby's? - Tenko? and more recently Bad Girls. Yep Stephanie is indeed a popular and gorgeous gal - with a young toy boy to boot !!!

I hope she doesn't go - as her and Vinthent are (apart from Lilia and Dom) my favourites! But if she doesn't go who will - Kate is the obvious possibilty but who else could it be?

I think her humour is too clever for some people. She is a very funny lady.

As for the ghastly group dance - more like a pole dance -don't you think she actually had a good point? It was more sex and covortion than disciplined latin or ballroom.

Of the girls I think it will be Kate or Letitia personally. Letitia has a very hard dance to be fair and Kate I can't see her managing a good quickstep with the injury she has (if it is as bad as is made out).

So long as she survives this week then I feel a few more boys will leave before the girls, but we wait and see them dance.

I love Stephanie and would be really sorry to see her go out this week. It's good to see a genuine old-school diva taking part. Personally, I'd be quite happy to see any of the so-called "favourites" - Penny, Kelly, Gabby - go out, and I'd hardly notice they'd gone.

I agree with you completely!

She has a wonderful, intelligent sense of humour and if that is over some peoples' heads, then that is unfortunate for them!

She has had more time to do it to be fair though. Who knows what the others (e.g. actresses like Letitia) may have done by the time they reach 60. That isnt really a fair point.

I do think Stephanie is a really good actress though.

Love her. What a pity people don't get her dry sense of humour. She is totally sending herself up. She is a wonderful advert for us 60 year olds.

Also :

Despite many appearances in television shows such as The Saint and Jason King, she first came to prominence when she played Georgina Layton in the daytime soap Marked Personal. Beacham's first starring film role was opposite Marlon Brando in 1972's The Nightcomers directed by Michael Winner. The film was made during a lull in Brando's career and was a flop. During the filming of The Nightcomers, Beacham was challenged by Marlon Brando's unusual sense of humor, where as a prank, Brando would pretend to be deaf in the same ear as Beacham. Beacham received a great deal of attention for appearing nude in her love scenes with Brando.
