after much pulling of hair and sleepless nights. i've finaly gone for the SONY KDL-40d3000 as i use freeveiw i think it is the right choice, (i mean i know i've made the right choice.)
i pick it up on saturday, so can anyone tell me the best setting

I have also been giving this TV close attention due to its reported excellent performance on SD but have never been able to get a decent demo on it from a standard SD source.

Also am amazed that this TV has now been discontinued by Sony (32" version will continue) with no obvious similar price/specification 40" replacement?

Please report where you got it from and how much and also first impressions on SD (BBC1 Freeview not Sky not cable!)
