thinking of buying the sony RDRHXD870 DVD recorder
has anyone an opinion on this,
might buy it on saturday if i do has any one got the region crack code

Yes - I have just region freed this exact model! It's quite easy if you have a OneForAll remote - the user one cannot do it! The alternative is to rent a special remote from one of the firms which specialise in this.

If this is the same mod as the standard NS series Sony DVD players?, I programmed and built a PIC based multi-region box. Simply point at the box and press a single button, wait until the LED goes out, job done!

Using the OneForAll hack it's (after programming it) buttons 1,2,3,4 and 5 in sequence (twice!)
