Another fantastic show- who would have thought it was the 2nd show of the day!!

The whole cast were on fire and loved all the extra bits - whether deliberate or adlibs who cares!!

Whatever Ben is on - I want some!! And so gorgeous to tell us that knowing we were there supporting him gave him extra oomph!!

I did miss Mel Smith's rubber facial expression although the new Wilbur is a much better singer and dancer.

Great night thanks to everyone who came and of course the cast and Ben
I am very belated on this but, it was fantastic!
What a great guy

You've probably gone by now but it really doesn't matter if you know the songs or not. Its full of energy, fun, laughs I'm sure you will enjoy it - infact I can't see how people would not like it!!

Hello - completely agree with xmiffyx - I'm sure that Rainbows will have a brilliant time at Hairspray.

Ben is amazing in the show and I have not heard of anyone who has seen Hairspray and hasn't thoroughly enjoyed it.

In fact when I have come out of the theatre the comment I have heard most often is "fantastic show - will definitely come and see it again".

Rainbows, - please come back here and let us know what you thought about Hairspray!!

Hello, i'm really sorry for randomly posting a question which has probably already been asked, but does anyone know how much longer Ben will be in Hairspray?

I saw the show in November as he was my favourite all through ADWD and I was lucky enough to meet him afterwards (swoon ) Anyway, my mum is desperate to go and see him in it too. I'm hoping to do an Oliver/Hairspray double-whammy in January but not sure if Ben is likely to still be in it then.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

Thank you! I rang the theatre as well today (before you replied) and they said the same thing.

Looks like we'll be going before Oct 25th just to be on the safe side. I really want to see Ben in the show again before he finishes - fingers crossed!

Hiya came back to give my thoughts as asked!!
I thought it was a brilliant show and by the end I was singing "you cant stop the motion in the ocean" etc etc!!
Tracys voice is great and Michael Ball very funny. Have recommended it to people.
As for my last words of this pathetic little review?!
I LOVE LINK

Hi Rainbows - thanks so much for coming back to let us know what you thought of Hairspray and glad you had such a fantastic time!! I agree Michael, Leanne and, of course Ben, are brilliant and, like you, I've recommended the show to lots of people too.

We, the undersigned, request a new CD and/or DVD of the new "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat", starring either of the current Josephs (Lee Mead and Craig Chalmers), with as many of the "Any Dream Will Do" contestants as possible in supporting roles, including Keith Jack as the narrator, with Chris Barton as Benjamin and Anthony Hansen as Naphtali.

We'd like to see Lewis Bradley and Ben Ellis in it, too!

Ahem Ben Ellis is not in joseph??

If an ADWD DVD was produced, Ben could be included in this and surely they couldn't ignore his phenomenal success in Hairspray.

Hey!

Back from seeing today's Matinee. Was absoloutley FANTASTIC!

Only dissapointment for me was when I arrived and seen Nigle somebody was playing Link, instead of Ben as I'd been looking forward to seeing him.

Glad you enjoyed it Voodoo Child. The guy who understudies for Link is called Neil Toon, he normally plays Fender in the show.

Look at it from a positive point of view, good excuse to go and see the show again (if you can afford it!)

I deffo will be going again, it was brilliant! But not in £60 seats. I sat in Row A, Seat 11 - fantastic view!

Will probably day ticket in the Summer, or just get some cheaper ones and see it again.

Ian and Michael cracked up in 'Timeless To Me' and started making jokes and couldn't sing or speak at one stage for laughter.

Yeah the front stalls are cracking seats. I'm going (again..hahaha) in June..can't wait!

Day tickets are a good price too, if you can get to the theatre early enough, queuing starts sooooo early for the Saturday shows

I love Timeless To Me...it brings the house down everytime!

I hope you see Ben next time...he's amazing as Link

'Timeless to me' was so much better compared to the film.

I loved every minute. I was laughing at this little old lady who on the way out of the theatre was singing "You can't stop the ocean of the motion".

Oh well done patty cake.

I had day tickets seats on Sat and right in front row which is fine if you have seen the show before but not for first time . BUT Ben was at IDA so we had his understudy who was very good but not Ben . I will just have to go back again when he comes back from his holidays

Have you got stalls or circle?

good seats I think - you're far enough back to see all the stage and close enough to see the effort

if you're on the right side even better - lots of Ben stretching!
