I just got back from Hairspray and absolutely loved it. So much fun!

Ben didn't really impress me in ADWD but he did fine in his role of Link and performed very well in "Without Love" (Although, sometimes throughout the show his American accent would sound atrocious!!!). I'll definately go watch it again and the kid did good!

Edna and Wilbur stole the show for me with "You're Timeless To Me" though. They got the giggles and held up the song for about 3 minutes due to a laughing fit and the audience were loving it. I love it when the actors come out of role!!!

Leanna as Tracy was also fantastic!!!

Tuesday 29 July - Grease

Thursday 31 July - The Phantom of the Opera
Friday 1 August - Hairspray

Apparently the Hairspray cast are doing 'You Can't Stop The Beat' and I just know its gonna make me want to see it again

Adrian was on holiday. Ellie gets married this weekend and will be off for a few weeks (yay for her, booo for her not being on stage).

We went to see the show on Thursday and 4 of the main cast were being covered including Ben, does he normally do all the shows a week or are there ones he is always covered at, as I would love to see him in it, it was the only reason we delaid our hol by 4 days so that we could go and see it.

Only Michael Ball has a set day when he doesn't perform (Mondays). None of the other cast members do, inc Ben. Maybe he didn't feel too well or had booked day off or something.

Hope you get to see it again...and Ben is there.

Hope so, as he was off as was Ian Talbot and we wanted to see him as well as saw him at the open air last year, and the girl who plays Penny Pingleton was off as was the guy who norm plays Corny Collins, maybe we went ona bad day seeing as it is in the summer hols, but to have 4 of the main ones off was a little dissapointing. We will have to try again soon does anyone know when Ben is due to finish?
Have to say though the guys and girls covering did a great job and you wouldn't know any different if you hadn't gone to see anyone in particular
