Scart set up

I just wanted to ask a quick question re how you connect a sky+ box, a vcr and a TV, each with 2 scart sockets.

When I fist had sky+ installed, the engineer connected the tv to sky+, the tv to video, and the video to sky+ - using 3 scart sockets.

But I always use just the two scart leads, from the tv to sky and from the vcr to sky+, as the vcr signal will travel via the sky+ to the tv and override any other signal if you want to watch a video.

Any thoughts?

you could use just the 2 if you wanted for rgb signal to loop through

does your telly support rgb on av2 ? if not use 2 scarts
