The Apprentice (UK) - Series 1 Repeats
The first series of the UK version of The Apprentice is being repeated starting this Thursday at 9pm on Dave (Sky 111, Virgin 125/127, Freeview 19). Having only got into The Apprentice from the last series, I'm looking forward to seeing it from the start. I thought some people here might like to know.

The first series was the best by far....Paul was a legend in that series, even if you wanted to thump him at times!!!

Watched this last night, first time I've seen this series. I think the firing was spot on. She did nothing but moan and generally cause problems. I did find some of the edits a little off-putting so they could squeeze some adverts into the hour, but it was still good.
What I found interesting in comparison to the third series was the flower task vs. the coffee task. In both instances the girls team found themselves at a virtually deserted local market, but took far too long to decide to move on. Did the participants of the third series not watch this series to pick up tips, or avoid other peoples errors? |

One thing I think about series 1 is that all those there all clearly are there for the job, whereas in series 2, and especially, series 3, you can tell that some are more there for the media exposure than anything. I suppose there is a bit of a claim to fame in being the first person to be fired off The Apprentice UK....that'd make a good pub quiz question!

Yes I agree with you that they are all seem to be there for the job, not the exposure (-maybe with the possible exception of Matthew?) People like Sebastien, Ben (my favourite of the series), and Miriam don't come accross as wannabe TV stars, do they?
I'd forgotten quite how 'whiny' Adele was. And Saira, as much as I like her, came out with some funny "management speak" moments!! Tim actually did quite well in that episode, I'd forgotten he was PM in the first task. I think my overall impression of Tim is tainted by the later episodes, in which I don't think he does perform as well - although I might change my mind watching it all back again... |

Just a heads up. It appears that Dragon's Den and The Apprentice have swapped around next week, so The Apprentice is now on at 10pm.

Another brilliant one last night. It all came flooding back to me when 'Secret Signals' was brought up!
