Going by your reasoning, Kelly Brook was in ITV Love Island, so is she the next to go?

that is the most flakey conspiracy theory given that brian left corrie years ago and bad girls was axed years ago. i dont think either have been on itv since.

I am still gobsmacked. So is my husband (who pretends not to be interested in SCD, but even he thought Stephanie was terrific). I really thought it would be the girl with the injury who went, despite sympathy votes, and I felt she would go off with dignity too.

It puts poor old Letitia in a difficult position, bet she feels rotten, she isn't exactly full of confidence.

Stephanie was class and so, so funny. She and Vincent were great.

Do miracles happen? Yes they do, sometimes. The Kate girl (sorry, I never knew who she was before SCD, nice person, tendonitis), could say that she really cannot cope with SCD in view of her injury, and resign, and Stephanie will be pulled back in. We live in hope.

I can't see how Stephanie was in the bottom two in the first place. i imagine a lot of people thought she was safe so voted for Kate.

I never thought that! I knew Stephanie was in the danger zone because she was the middle of the leaderboard. And I didn't vote last year until week six. Now I threw four votes along Steph's way, albeit not a lot of votes, but I can see there are a lot of Anton's (and Kate's?) fans voting like mad to keep them in...

I am STILL very sadden by the results. I wasn't this worked up when Spoony and Ray went, though I thought they didn't deserve to go then...

Having suffered from Tendonitis a few years ago I can state with confidence that Kate will not make a miraculous recovery. The GBP have made a massive mistake as there is every likely hood that as soon as she starts training the condition will flare up again. Unfortunately Kate is a lame duck with no chance of a full recovery unless she rests her inflamed tendons.....and I`am not talking about a few days rest.... it took weeks for my tendonitis to subside and looking back it was months before I could train and be confident that the condition would not recur . How many more dancers will we loose before the GBP realize Kate really is injured and she has NO chance of making a full recovery without several weeks of rest. She should do the honourable thing now and withdraw as the show will become a farce if she is continually saved by the sympathy vote.

I felt like that about Spoony too, SCD Observer. He was really good. I liked Ray too but I felt he had given up, he had other things to do as well so didn't put his heart into it - but Spoony was terrific!

It's not right that Stephanie has gone. i don't believe there is any conspiracy behind it though. i will be interested to hear the judges' comments - particularly Len's, he really liked her.

I just hope that Kate would not say silly things like 'It can only get better' the next time!

Now I would like to ask the people here who said they are shocked/sad/angry that Steph and Vin went. Did you vote for them? If so, how many?

I think it's wrong that anyone from this series has been signed up for the Tour already. They should have waited to see how they got on in the first few weeks.

I have just rewatched Kate's interview after dancing and have to say there was no sign of begging at all. In fact to me she seemed almost resigned to not being there next week.

I actually think that she looked to be in pain and it would probably have been better for her if she had gone, but at the same time I can understand her wanting to carry on dancing with Anton if she possibly can.

Someone posted earlier (though I don't remember who, unfortunately) that James and Ola danced to Westlife and the pro dance was a Chicago (the musical)-themed mix of Tango/Jive.

Well, at least this time around I know that I won't need to watch the sunday results show (I watched it last week, simply because I was curious to how the beeb would handle the new format).

As for the result, it's obvious Kate got the sympathy vote, but she really shouldn't have been dancing at all. Nothing against Kate personally, she obviously wanted to have a go, but still, a potentially great contestant has left because of it.

With the severe condition she has at the moment, she risks getting PERMANENT injury. So I hope Kate will do the right thing now, at least request the BBC to let her go and reinstate Steph in the competition!

I won't hold my breath for that though...

Bruce made an off-camera remark tonight about how crap the idea of the Sunday night results show is. Good man!

It is not honourable to deprive someone else of a job,

and then to have no intention or physical capability of doing said job acquired by a sympathy vote.

I fell and injured tendons in my wrist on 14th Jan this year, they hurt for months-i had my wrist strapped up for 3/4 months. Its still not fully right. Kate should take it easy, it will only flare up as bad as ever if she continues.

Me too, went to see it last month. Am guessing the tango might be to the cell block tango or whatever that song is called.

So what happens if Kate has to pull out? I suppose that will mean only two couples in the final again like last year.
Unless someone at the Beeb has a few brains and says 'no elimination one week', but the judges' scores and viewers' votes will carried forward and be added to the next week's scores. i.e. if the judges award 30 marks one week and 20 the next then the total is 50, and 'position' points are awarded for that total.

Good for him! I was very annoyed when he couldn't remember Vincent's name. But with this comment of his, he's in my good book again!

Definitely tango to that number!!! A very sexy number, and I always dreamt of how any SCD couples will attempt a tango to that number.

I'm not even close to being his biggest fan...but after all his years in the biz he should know what he's talking about...and what the audience wants.
