Please visit the above proposal and comment on the longstanding problem of unrepresentative voting results.

Have any of you just listened to yourselves ,I thought the programme was called Strictly Come Dancing NOT
Strictly Tear Kate and Anton apart ! I for one thought
Kate danced very well considering how little training she had and Arlene and Craigs insults were unbelieveably cruel. As for sympathy voting -what rubbish .

In this case it may well have been best to simply give low marks , which were deserved , comment on her brave effort etc , commiserate with her plight and leave it at that . They were way too cruel .
It may also have been best if honesty had prevailed and the extent of the injury made clear .
I think she looked very unsteady , stepped gingerly and danced poorly . I felt very sorry for her and admired her effort , but I would never have voted for her .
That may well have been down to lack of practice , but tendonitis is truly horrid , excessively painful and will not clear up quickly.

Now she will have to dance next week or we have another 2 person final ; that being the case if the outcome is similar to this week , more " sympathy" voting takes place and someone else with more chance of progressing goes .

Sorry waltzingmatilda , sympathy voting does happen , you can look at every series and see that clearly .

[quote=SCD-Observer;18663362] I can see there are a lot of Anton's (and Kate's?) fans voting like mad to keep them in...
QUOTE]

Nope; I'm a complete Anton fan and voted for Stephanie & Vincent. Much as I love Anton I would hate to see Kate risk permanent damage to herself. 2008 will be the Don of the Dancefloor's year!!

My suggestion: Just forget about those blase (sp?) comments and don't make personal attacks and just mark accordingly. That'll do (I have no problems with their scores last night, just their throwaway comments that I have issue with)

I have been wondering about this, do you think that they had a two person final due to votes being cast during the week as well, so people had already therefore began to vote for the saturday show's outcome. But considering we only can vote on the saturday now, if someone leaves maybe they'll let that be a free week, and have everyone dance but no one leave? Or will they be stupid and have a two person final?

Tonight we will see if we agree that Letitia showed more potential than Stephanie. It is possible you know!

I thought Stephanie was wonderful. To me, the travesty of justice is that she was in the bottom 2. I thought it would be Kate and Letitia, and that Kate would go.

I suppose we, the voting (or not) public are the ones to blame.

(just going to check that this is the correct thread before I post it! <blush> Yes, it is the spoiler thread)

Yes indeed Little_Me, it was the sin of omission not commission what done Stephanie in. The following thread
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...0032contained:

one suggestion that SCD voting should be for eviction not retention,

and a suggestion that the vote should be the nett difference between Retention Total and Eviction Total.

I remembered in ITT the judges seemed to generally like Letitia and Darren's rumba. I think it was due to nerves that Letitia's performance was lacklustre last night. It could well be that Letitia was better at the dance off. But it's still WRONG for Stephanie to GO!!!

I didn't vote because I reckon it's too complicated for the GBP to comprehend.
