For all SCD fans who do not like the delayed results show....there is a simple answer...complain direct to the BBC on the following link..

Enough complaints may just make them change the format.

Its up to you.

But we have complained. Hundreds of us. And we all get the same reply about family viewing times etc.

The BBC have decided that this is the best thing for us and I dont believe any amount of complaining will alter that. They seem quite happy that the majority of their viewers/voters will not find out the result beforehand and for those that do well they clearly aren't in the least bit bothered.

Simon Cowell saying he thinks its a bad idea is just going to convince them that they have made the correct decision.

The only ones to suffer in this "family entertainment" battle are once again the viewers.

Agree - there's no point complaining, as all they care for is ratings and if they are good they'll feel they've done the right thing. It's the same in America - no matter how good or promising a show is, if the ratings are bad they rarely last beyond that season, despite shedloads of emailed protests from fans.

To be honest, I know dozens of people who couldn't care less when the results show is, and for a lot of people an early show with a sunday results show is great as it means they can then go out on saturday night - the problem for me and the people I speak to is the result being spoiled.

It is really a sad thing to have to say but the people I have a complaint with are those who post the result or make 'obvious' comments in this forum in places other than the SPOILER threads - so who do I complain about to?

If only 25 people complain then there was little point, I agree. But if everyone who has a problem complained then I think they would think differently.

What happens though is that a lot of people complain amongst themselves but not to the BBC and thus the BBC is justified in saying and doing what they like because few people actually tell them directly that they have a problem. It's no use expecting the BBC to take any notice of us posting on a message board; they are only obliged to consider official complaints. And if you don't make one then it seems reasonable to me for the BBC to continue as they have done.

It took about two minutes in total to fill out the online form and even if it is a waste of time, it is not a lot of time to expend and I didn't begrudge it. It creates more work for them if nothing else.

I agree. Complaining to the BBC is the best way to voice concerns.

Don't bother with on-line petitions. They're worthless.

In fact it would be a good idea for the Sunday newspapers to publish the results on their front page!

That would definitely cause the BBC to rethink the Sunday results show as the viewing figures would be impacted if everyone already knew the result.

But if the viewing figures for the sunday show are very good, what are the chance of it being scrapped?

I'm sure the BBC plan to keep an eye on the ratings and decide what to do for next season based on that. But viewers complaints may help, at least so they know why the sunday programme was unpopular, and know not to maybe just move it to a different time slot on sunday.

I enjoy the Sunday show, it makes that 'strictly' feeling last all weekend
