According to this report, last week the BBC posted out spoilers on their website about who The X Factor's Finalists are before it was officially broadcasted on ITV. So in retaliation ITV and Simon Cowell plan to post out spoilers on who is out of SCD 24 hours before the SCD Results show is aired.

When is it going to end?

Another indication that the recorded Sunday results programme is a stupidly stupid idea.

The BBC do have themselves to blame (if not for the accidental posting of the X Factor stuff last week, but definitely for the recorded results programme).

Actually the ITV website also posted spoilers about the finalists before the show as well - the Beeb probably got their info off of there before it was removed.

I think the "24 hours before the show is transmitted", is a bit ambitious, as the competition hasn't taken place at that time!

I think good on ITV for doing that. If the BBC spoiled their show then why can't ITV spoil the BBC's?

Exactly - anyway the names of the finalists was removed pretty quickly from the BBC news article.

The news article says they are planning to, it doesn't actually say they have done it yet. If they do good on ITV, and it gives us even more evidence to put the results show back on a live saturday night schedule.

But they are fast running out of time - the 24 hour clock is ticking away.

1) The results were also posted on the ITV website.

2) The BBC say that it was a mistake for them to post the results on the BBC site.

3) The BBC quickly removed the results from their website.

Certainly points 2 and 3 indicate that it was not premeditated nor malicious, unlike the current threat from ITV/Cowell.

Point 1 indicates that ITV need to sort out their priorities before having a go at the BBC.

Of course, for any conspiracy theorists out there, ITV could have posted the results in a deliberate attempt to get the BBC to post them as well, thus stirring up an incident which wasn't really there.

OMG

This is all getting too much.

BBC and ITV getting spiteful with each other, anyone would think it was of vital importance for the country when we are talking about two entertainment shows!

Get real BBC and ITV and cut it out, concentrate on your own show and leave the other to concentrate on theirs.
