Can anyone delete all the forums with the spoilers attached.
This just isn't fair to those viewers who actually like to be kept in suspense even though it is recorded.
Those of you who agree please post in this forum.

Every weekend I come into the forum just for a read, chat or post in the discussion threads . If people keep posting spoilers then I will be gone and not come back.
I am so angry!!

There's nothing wrong with spoilers if they're used properly. THe problem is morons who don't understand how they work

It should be a role of the DS moderators to suspend people who abuse them and that way, we can all be happy. I'll know who went out in advance, you can wait and watch the show blissfully unaware of the result

Totally agree with allyfree. If people used spoilers correctly there is nothing wrong with that. Also there is no problem with a spoiler thread. That way people who do not want to know the result can avoid that.

It is obvious a large number, possibly the majority do want to know, so they could do that. The problem is posting the information on any other thread, non-spoilered, so that people unexpectedly find out when they do not want to!

Absolutely. Spoiler thread - fine (excellent for me because I want to know the result). Posting spoilers in non-spoiler threads using spoiler tags - also fine.

I am one of those people who are dying to know the result on a saturday night - would never find out if it wasn't posted on here as no-one i know likes SCD - but I completely agree with not posting the result in any thread except the "results" one.

Maybe it is time for the mods to step in and let everyone know that one or two (as one tends to be chat while waiting for the result -which is nice) threads are to be set up. "results" threads and ONLY these are to be used to reveal & discuss the result and anyone posting on any "fan based" threads will be warned, banned etc.

After Sunday nights show then people can post in any thread they want to. Hopefully that way everyone will be happy although tbh if the BBC just went back to the normal Saturday show & results this whole problem would never have started what a stupid decision and as usual they wont be held accountable for their actions

sorry for the long post

Spoilers are fine, if properly constructed. I want to know who is evicted as soon as possible.

I would however, prefer to find out by watching the results show on Saturday night!

This was not an issue with the previous series - it is BBC stupidity that has caused all this.

They have also tried (and apparently failed), by changing the voting system, to gain control of the result. Again stupid and duplicitous.

I do NOT want to know - and cannot understand why people who all through the week appear to be intelligent and articulate human beings, cannot understand the DS spoiler policy - someone in another thread mentioned the public domain - my understanding of that as far as DS is concerned is as soon as the programme is broadcast.

Yes the BBC have made a mistake, not by transmitting the show on a Sunday but by allowing members of the general public to be in the audience - don't shoot yourselves in the foot - if the Sunday show ratings battle is a winner, then it is quite possible that to solve the problem of inconsiderate people spoilling it they will only let BBC insiders in the audience.

Spoilers are fine as long as it's indicated, if you don't want to know just don't go on the thread.

I can understand it's annoying if you don't want to know and you read it by accident.

I follow SCD but I don't watch it (if that makes any sense) but I know exactly how you all feel about the spoilers. Over in the Big Brother forums they have a habit of posting eviction betting odds in titles, and have a habit of putting who is up for eviction in titles before it had been on TV. Both times are almost 100% certain and its annoying. If the BBC are going to have a Sunday results show at least do it properly and film it on a Sunday!

I also like to know but I think it should just be kept in the spoilers thread that way people who dont want to know wont find out.

god it was so much better when it was done live, and when the judges didnt have so much power.

I like to know too, and why should a few FM's take it upon themselves to be forum police. After what happened last week if I didn't want to know who had gone, there is no way I would risk coming on this forum until after the result show tonight. The sooner the dictatorship is left to the moderators the better the forum will be IMHO.

I agree with this and if I can't read the result here I'll read it on one of the other SCD forums.

I dont think there is a problem with the actual spoiler thread as such, as long as the discussion kept to the specific thread.

But I agree that people should not post the results or hints about the results in any other thread. Thats just spoiling it for those patient people (not me) who are willing to wait.

I'm another person who can't wait for the result so go into the spoiler thread to read it which is fine.

Like others have said, any discussion about the result before it's aired on Sunday should be kept to the spoiler thread - it's just common sense

It is very frustrating that some people feel the need to go and post in the thread of the dancers who have been voted out before the result has been made public. It just ruins the enjoyment of the show for those that prefer to wait for the result. I would like to think that these people do it by accident but I feel that some people just like to cause friction.

The mods don't react unless someone reports the issue in question. They don't actively moderate the threads, it is reactive. You have to tell them about the problem.

As I said it is not a problem any where else on DS so why should it be here?
