cdepends what phone you're after - you may be able to get it from carphone warehouse (buy payg as most handsets they supply are sim free if they are available on multiple networks) it will be cheaper doing it that way

afaik you would need a 3g capable handset to use a three (3) sim card - other than that you would just need the correct settings for everything to work. You should be able to get 3 customer services to send them to your phone, if not, go into a store and get them to input it, or if thats not available, go online to the manufacturers website and get them sent to you from there.

It's just the thought of being stuck on 3 once I buy the phone that worries me. |

is it three that you are wanting to use hen you buy a handset? I got the SE K810i today (admittedly on contract) but that is a 3g phone. I was told by the guy in store that it would use the 3g coverage when available regardless. You could try some of the other networks who do 3g for handsets on their network. Reason I say this, is 3 are actively promoting oldish handsets as brand new to their network (ie SE800i which has been out for quite some time)
How much are you looking to spend? what features are you looking for in a new handset? |

How much are you looking to spend? what features are you looking for in a new handset? I'm looking to spend about £120 max. I was looking at the SE K800i on Orange but then someone suggested 3 were better and I found a cheaper phone that I liked (the Nokia 6120). I'm mainly interested in the 3G (GPRS is so slow) for web access and e-mails. After that, a radio and pretty decent camera are my next things. |
