I thought Stephanie danced better than Letitcia. I didn't like the weird faces Letitcia was pulling during the Rhumba, also there was no connection between her and Darren.

My thought tonight too. According to wikipedia she was on some show with Dominic.

I can not believe they showed the 'boys' dance again.

Have to disagree there. Letitia was far better the second time, her footwork was better, far more hip movement and much more stable in her legwork. She improved far more between the first and second dance than Stephanie did. However I do agree that neither of them should have gone. The result was a travesty really!

Yes she's a professional relocator and appears mainly on daytime shows where people are looking to move house/start a new life abroad etc. She co-presented a BBC1 morning show called 'Try Before You Buy' with Dominic - a kind of tongue in cheek version of 'Location, Location, Location'.

Hope that I'm not the only person to find her very attractive?!

I take a different view - Letitia did show some improvement, but she still danced with the supporting leg locked for most of the time, making it nigh on impossible to get any real hip action going. Her develope was awful, as was her ronde and she played it out to the camera/audience instead of to her partner.

Stephanie improved inasmuch as the body contact was better and her chasses more controlled. Her smile just lit up the floor and while I thought that she would struggle with Latin a bit, she should not have gone home so early.

I thought her ronde was good actually, and she did get some hip action going through better legwork. And I certainly would not describe her develope as "awful". I wouldn't have voted someone through on their smile lighting up the floor. I also thought the rumba was better choreographed to show off the celebrity dancer tbh.

I didn't think Stephanie deserved to go home either, but neither did Letitia.

I felt the ronde lacked sharpness and she dropped her knee in the develope. Letitia also 'shoots' the front front out when dancing a back basic. This plus the locked knee on the back leg was what led tot he lack of hip action. Sorry Dancingles, but I didn't see much hip action at all.

Good on her for having a go, the Rumba is hard and for a first dance is perhaps a little unfair. I think people assume it is easy because it is a slow dance, but it actually requires the most control.

Of course, it really should have been Kate going home!

It is the most difficult latin dance to do correctly in my opinion, especially for a beginner, which is why I felt she had a good go at it. It is so much easier to start with a basic chacha or jive I feel. I thought she at least did all the basic rumba moves, which were somewhat missing in the other rumbas, and I do like to see the basic moves included. I agree she didn't "sell" it as I thought she would from the training footage, which looked good, but this was probably because she froze a bit with nerves, and in a dance which needs the control of the rumba that causes problems.

I still think I would have picked her to stay in over Stephanie, but as you say neither of them should have gone. Absolute travesty!

Makes me laugh because so many seemed to be so angry that the judges get final say and wanted the public vote to count for more... but now that the public have spoken and kept Kate they are not liking it! Would you prefer the judges had all the say then and thus Kate would probably have gone!?!

Also the public saving saving Kate gives the *possibility* of the factor that many have been saying has been lacking - ie. seeing improvement in someone. But again they don't like it.

It seems to me many didn't want Stephanie to leave which I can understand, but Kate is practically being blamed which is not very fair.

My sentiments entirely Lula, it is "our" fault for voting or not voting. Stephanie was so good, and such fun, that I honestly believe many people thought she was safe. That happens, it happened last year with poor old Spoony and he was terrific!

We might have guessed that Kate would get sympathy votes. I am not criticising Kate because, in her position, it is natural to want to push yourself. I imagine you don't know what to do for the best - do you give up or give it your best shot? All your friends will be giving conflicting advice too. Remember that newsreader/TV presenter last year or year before who battled on even though he had cellulitis? He did very well indeed and I think everyone's hearts went out to him. Still, it is a travesty that Stephanie was in the bottom two. I felt so sorry for Len, you could see on his face that the decision was terribly hard for him.

I hope Letitia is not too affected by all this and goes on to do better things. It's not her fault. She is such a sweet girl and so nervous.

I think there are two reasons why Kate sailed clear of the bottom two.

One is due to the battering she took from Arlene Phillips. Viewers really don't like it when the judges take things too far and get personal as Arlene did and that motivates them to vote for the victim of their venom.

And two, perhaps the telephone votes have dropped because of all the changes and this has affected the results.

I agree with you. There was something almost Vorderman-esque about some of Letitia's expression.

How could garraway possibly get enough telephone votes to take her out of the bottom two?????
She must have been voted about third on the phones.
therefore either th votes are low overall so a few votes for Garraway takes her up the list or all her mates in the media multi voted.

An absolute disgrace of a result , even the judges expressed their dismay.
Good program, poor result.

Yes I agree and it's what I like least about the forums they get as personal as Arlene at times and it isn't a trait to be proud of.

Judging by the expression on Kate's face as her name was read out - she fully expected to be out on Saturday as well!

Can't help feeling that if she HAD been in the bottom 2 she would have bowed out in favour of the other bottom 2 lady.

I really feel sorry for her as she now has to master a Jive or Tango for next week - AND face another mauling from Craig & Arlene because she hasn't put in as much work as the other (no she hasn't C&A - she was on CRUTCHES until last Wednesday, and CAN'T do as much as the others have as she should be resting!!) and she's still in a full time job!

Quite!

I have never voted in any SCD series - I just love to watch the dancing and express my opinion.

And in my opinion, the BBC needs to make up it's mind on whether they want to engage the public at all, in SCD.

If they want the judges to be able to decide who goes forward, then they should remove the public vote and have a full panel of QUALIFIED Ballroom and Latin judges.

If they want to keep the public vote (and fair enough because it raises money for charity), then they should accept that the public like who they like and let them decide, removing the judges vote.

Although an appalling dancer, I thought it was wonderfully entertaining to see Chris Parker get so far in series 1 on the strength of his fans alone.
