I think this result just goes to show that it's not just the dancing, but the likeability factor that counts.

I think that Alesha does appear to be a good dancer, but I think there are better dancers than Letitia and Dominick but they, along with their partners have the likeabilty factor.

...or it shows that the Darren and Lila fans voted quite a bit

Yep, I think the same can be said for the actual voting on the show, a lot of people are voting for the professional rather than the celeb. I think that could also have been one of the factors in Kate not being in the bottom two as the Anton fans were voting.

the public love a sob story as well, and always vote for the underdog, which is why Gabby having such high expectations so early on is going to damage her

I really don't think this thread is any indication of what will happen.

I don't think people have voted on the final result to be honest. They voted for their favourite couple in terms of how well they are getting on, how much fun they are having etc. In which case I can understand the result. That is probably why Ian and Brendan and their partners went out early, as Kelly isn't that popular and Penny comes across as nice but perhaps a bit bland at the moment. I don't think anyone was voting on what they thought the final result would be.

I think this game would work better if there was a 'vote only once a day' rule, rather than every 5 posters. The first couple were eliminated in the space of about an hour. Doesn't seem that fair...
