The Amytiville Horror.
It was unexpectedly good actually. Some moments that really made you jump, and the rest was driven by the good characters and actors, and the suspense that ran all the way through. I really enjoyed it. 8.5/10 |

No Country For Old Men. For the most part it was very good, suspenseful, Javier Bardem's character was chilling but, the last quarter of the film took it down a point or 2 for me. Very frustrating.

CJ7 - Stephen Chow's latest, meh was okay, not up there with Kung Fu Hustle. Also I didn't even realise the lead who plays his SON was in fact a girl...

Total Recall
"Consider dat a divorce!" Robocop 3 (Virgin1 last night) Evil OCP guy: "We're coming into that church to get those unarmed homeless people" Lewis, standing in front of Robocop, facing 20-odd armed-to-the-teeth OCP goons, and without body armour cause apparently she didn't need it as she was off shift: "Well you'll have to come through us first." Evil OCP Guy: "Sounds fine to me" OCP Goons: *BADABADABADABADABADABADABADABADA* Lewis: "Aaaarrrgh" *drops down dead* Robocop: "Oh, didn't see that coming."* The above is not the actual script, merely a paraphrase of one of the worst films ever. |

Atonement (on DVD).
I liked the start and the performances, but not the story or the pacing. It was too slow with not enough pay-off. |
