Cloverfield
Thought it was amazing, really, really enjoyed it.
Can really appreciate the camera angles, mise en scene and general cinematography of the whole film cos' I did a diploma in Media but it was a fantastic film!

Equally enjoyable and gripping was the Coen Bros. -
No Country For Old Men.

Watched Juno yesterday. Absolutely loved it. Thought Ellen Page was fantastic in it.

I saw Sex and the City this afternoon. Am I only one is was disappointed and thought it didn't live up to all the hype? Found the first half extremely boring actually, but it livened up a bit towards the end but all in all it gets a thumbs down from me.

This evening I watched Penelope with the lovely James McAvoy. If you're into rom coms/chick flicks I would recommend this. Nice film to while away a couple of hours.

Seed of Chucky, It was on itv4 last night, I nearly fell off the bed laughing.

I had expected to watch 10 mins of it and turn over, how wrong I was.

The Incredible Hulk.

It was ok, great action scenes but Liv Tyler is a truly awful actress (at least in this anyway).

I'm not even sure if it was better than the Ang Lee one, although I have to watch that again as it's been some years since I saw it.

My girlfriend hated it by the way, payback's a bitch isn't it? (after 2&1/2 hours of Sex and the bleedin City)

I am legend, which I thought was pretty good despite everyone else saying it wasn't.

The Happening.

The first 45 minutes are great, but its all down hill from there. It made me wish I'd gone to see The Incredible Hulk instead.

Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian and it was superb!

Would just like to add I was at the premier, didn't see it on a dodgy pirate!

The Tracey Fragments - 5 minutes into this I was ready to hate it because the split-screens and jumpcuts are just too much and I couldn't believe the whole film was going to be shot in this way. But you get used to it after a while and the story starts to shine through. Plus Ellen Page is really good in it and the soundtrack is nice. So I think I liked it.

Ah I so want to see Tracey Fragments, it that released in the UK already?

She isn't a patch on Jennifer Connolly!

Last watched an anime called Paprika, didn't like it. Thought I would.

Really enjoyed it. Want to watch it again now, as I've read everyones reviews and missed so much - such as something crashing into the sea at the end. Totally missed that!

What was it like watching it at The O2?

Was the picture, sound OK?

I can't imagine what it was like watching a film with such a large audience in an enormous space like the arena

I Am Legend

Thought it was brilliant, really creepy "darkseekers" or whatever they're called, loved the whole relationship arc with Sam (the dog), really well done, definitely one for the "Good list" of Will Smith films.

I've never seen Omega Man, or read the book, so really had no frame of reference, but as far as big budget, special effect, star driven popcorn fodder goes this was up there with the best.

4*

Alternate ending on the Blu-Ray was rubbish mind you.

20 years after it's original release, I finally saw Die Hard for the first time last night. I'm going through a period of "classic films I have never actually seen"

Totally predictable plot but good fun. Going to have to watch the sequels now.

The first half is good - until night falls and it then becomes a poor-CGI zombie romp with a silly religious allegory of an ending.

What did you expect it to be?

Althoguh the religous undertones I will say were a bit silly.

Went to the Cinema to see "The Happening" last night.

I love all Shyamalan films (not keen on Lady in the Water,
apart from Bryce Dallas Howard )

Anyway, the film was.......OK, I expected better and more of a twist. But I guess I will buy it on DVD when it comes out and watch it again.

Black Sheep - this is not a good film to watch when you have a dog who barks everytime he hears a sheep...
