3 Questions about the IPOD touch
Ive never used an IPOD in my life so this will be the first time as I really like the look of the new Ipod touch and Im thinking about buying one.
Question 1, As I understand the Ipod touch dosen't have flash so a lot of web pages I like to use wont be usable. Will it have flash in a future firmware release or not? Question 2, Never have used Itunes and I dont really want to install it on my pc but can I transfer my Mp3, wav files from my pc to the Ipod touch and listen to them? Question 3, Does the Ipod touch support Mp4? If not what type of media files does it support. thanks |

You have to use iTunes...which I thoroughly recommend as it acts as a conduit for syncing all of your content to the iPod (bookmarks, Outlook contacts, photos, movies etc) 3. Yep it supports MP4 |

1. There are rumours that Adobe is working on an iPhone optimised plugin for Safari, but they are just rumours. Flash on Mac OSX isn't that great performance wise hence a big reason to leave it out (as well as it being proprietary). What Flash sites do you use?

www.playtouchgames.com lets you play some games on your touch.
Also http://www.apple.com/webapps/ has some games and other things. All viewed through a web page using safari Hope this helps |

While the lack of Flash is not ideal, the Touch is a superb device.
I wouldn't be surprised if it gets Flash in the future (and made available as a firmware upgrade) because of the number of Flash video sites out there (including the new BBC iPlayer). But you shouldn't get one on the offchance that it gets Flash in the future. Just go get one because they're great video playback and web browsing devices. |
