Er, no I didn't (apart from the fact that you could not possibly know what I was thinking or what I inferred from your post )

“yes the show on Sundays is too long and as to the fillers -anything that shortens Tess Daly screen time would get my vote (she IMO is the worst thing about the show but I have learnt to live with her and have had to accept that the BBC have foisted-aka thrown-her at me).........but quite how has it lost suspense by moving from Saturday to Sunday”

a) The results and hints at the results are all over these forums, I tried to stay clear of the obvious threads, but was ambushed by a single one-liner in a separate thread

b) the momentum built from the main show is lost

c) the show is too long, and that in itself causes the tension to be lost

d) even knowing that the show is recorded loses some of the tension

I do think the Sunday night programme is absolutely stupid. I assume it is due to a belief, by the BBC, that ratings will be higher and 'it's what the viewers want'.

Tess goes off and gets changed so I'm in no doubt they'd like us to think it isn't recorded straight after the Saturday show. The audience are still wearing the same clobber so it's a tad pointless Tess doing this.

People who watch SCD are happy to watch it, do whatever they wish and then come back for the results show.

Look at what happened on Vincent's thread on Saturday and Sunday - someone innocently/naively let slip the result and people were annoyed. It certainly isn't fair on the fans of the show to put them through the farce that is the split shows over two days.

A lot of the viewing public who care about the show come on these forums and hardly anyone is in favour of the split being over two days.

Come on BBC sort it out, god knows what we'll get next week when there'll be no group dance to fill the time”

I think these are all excellent ideas Puffle. I agree with alot of what has been said and the Sunday show is an uncomfortable cross between last year's repeated highlights and the results show with the addition of the dance off. I was hoping they'd take the opportunity to do more features as well. Last week they had a second group dance with everyone joining in. Although it was a bit chaotic with so many on the floor at once, at least it was different. This week they just repeateed the men's group dance which was a bit of a disappointment in more ways than one! Oh, and couldn't you just guess it would have to be Westlife.

Tried the link to the BBC and after some clicking around got to what I thought would be where I could type my complaint, but guess what? Server couldn't be found!

Also tried this afternoon to post on the Official SCD website on a thread there to complain about the Sunday result show. After I posted I got a message saying that it would be monitored first and then once I was a trusted poster then my posts would go directly to the thread. That might explain why there was only about 27 posts of complaint! I'm sure more people than that have complained.

So Azzuro --some of us are trying to do something.

It amuses me that even Nicole has signed the petition (signature no: 428) -- even the pro's hate it! Lmao.

And the Audience looks so BORED!The Ramps family & Rod Stewart caught on camera the 1st week had faces like thunder.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates it.It seems such a waste- so many good dancers and they keep showing us repeat clips.

Dont blame me. Blame the BBC! All I know is that no one who has any power to change the schedule would do so on the basis of a few posts on here.

Even Bruce said to the audience that it loses the suspense of the results to film it in bits. He was right, although it was still good it was hard to get so worked up about it all.

Anyway I think the point is made on the rather pathetic Say No petition - 786 signatures out of minimum 3,000,000 viewers - not exactly in a majority are you?....and Puffle has the most interesting solution...and its not moving it back to Saturday”

I think to get 786 of the British TV viewing public to sign a petition is a good indicator that something is wrong and that the majority of people think moving to a Sunday night is a bad idea.
Only 500 are used in BARBS viewing behavior - and that to represent 24 million!
People are 'worked up about it' because it is indicative of the BBC (and other broadcasters) of their treatment of the faithful fans of such shows.
To call it 'pathetic' says a lot about you as a person.

Hi all

first post here goes

I hate the sunday show, must admit Ive been coming here sat nigth to see whos out. But what I really hate this year is the Judges choice, as theres only 4 of them no matter what, Unless the other 3 all vote tyhe ame, Len gets to decide who goes, so really not a Judges vote but a len goodman choice.

And to try and keep suspence it will always be a case of one judge saying one couple and at least 1 other disagreeing so that Len will always get the choice.

Do they think we are thick or something

Do you know what percentage 750 signatures on the petition is of the 7.7 million people who watched the Sunday show, it's less than 0.01% .I would suggest resistance is futile, why don't you all just enjoy the fantastic spectacle that is Strictly. It's honestly not that bad

Yeah, but why would anyone pretend to be Nicole? Think it is her because she goes on the internet quite a lot.

I don't remember writing that?
I wasn't trying to make a point, just pointing out those signatures.

Look at my earlier post. If resistance is futile then I would be writing this in German.

Haha,

I know the feeling. I get upset about the stuff some poeple write about a certain person I hint at in my username. I just stick to the SCD forum now because it's a nicer place to be and no one shouts at me for liking someone!

I can't for the life of me understand why we should want to see the worst two dances again (like many others) At least on Dancing with the stars they actually have a live results show for starters and the judges ask to see what they consider to be the best dance for that week - now that's a much better idea all round!

I actually phoned the Beeb on the first Sunday to complain - but was told that there had been no mention of the word "Live" - however, with all the references made about the night before's show, you were led to believe it was. I added to them that they might want to move the audience around for the results show as it's clearly recorded after 9pm when the phone lines close. "What do you mean by that?" the irritated women asked - I explained that on the recap of the previous nights dancing a woman in a black dress was sitting to Bruno's left and lo and behold there she was again on Sunday with self same dress in same place. Also Billy Zane was still wearing the hat and scarf and sitting two down from Rod Stewart - and they think we aren't going to notice things like that - never mind the farce with Kenny Logan!

You mean it isn't live? You will be telling me the guest singers are lip syncing next.

The results show really needs to be shortened and put back to Saturday, don't you think? Maybe someone should start a campaign for this ...

I would like to see a campaign started to move the result show to Wednesday afternoons - preferably during Alan Titchmarsh's chat show. Failing that then every other Thursday - during the 'Countdown' break.
