When are the judges going to learn...?

That the nastier and ruder they are to certain contestants - the more votes that contestant gets?

Saturday was a classic example of that where Craig and Arlene blasted Kate in their comments and their marks.

Yes she was far and away the worst on the night, and with her injury and lack of practice, and potential inability to go much further anyway she should by all that was fair have gone home on Saturday.....

But the stupid judges were so horrid to both her AND Anton, that all they achieved was getting Kate the biggest sympathy vote ever, ensuring that she was kept well out of their way!

Why oh why couldn't Craig and Arlene just do what Len & Bruno did - say it wasn't very good but they understood why and give 4 or 5 just for sheer guts and effort? That way she'd probably not have got such a big vote and been in the bottom 2 and able to retire gracefully.

Mind you - wasn't helped by the gushing and overmarking of Kelly and Penny - who were good - but not THAT good!

When are FMs going to learn?

The judges know exactly what they're doing.

This is RTV. It thrives on drama, shocks, storylines, controversy....most of all manipulation of the viewer.

The 'stupid' judges are playing you just as much as the voters who do their bidding by keeping the sob-stories in.

Errr no I don't think so....

The look on Arlenes face before the result was pure evil/ sucking a lemon as she sharpened her knife - and all the judges seemed genuinely surprised that Kate escaped them. Most of their comments seemed to say that they didn't think either of the bottom 2 should have gone.

We have a history in the past couple of series that as soon as the judges are moderately nice to the worst dancer (Diarmuid/ Bill/ Fiona/ Georgina), that's the week they go! Hence why I wondered when they would learn - how many series does it take?

And what Arlene in particular said to Kate after the dance was nasty, unnecessary and spiteful!

I tend to think that the judges reaction to Kate was deliberate - they WANTED her to get the sympathy vote and not be in the bottom 2, because if she had been they would have had no alternative but to send her home, and Stephanie would have had to stay in.

I don't think this was a judges decision but Stephanie's. She made no bones about not being happy - and her "Thank you for letting me go" to the judges at the end was too heartfelt not to be true.

Arlene cant help it. She has so much poison in her body from botox and other drugs that she is permanantly sour as a lemmon....."It's the drugs your honour" Thats her only excuse.

Keep up the bad comments Arlene as this is the only way to ensure the viewers selection gets through...
