Is it possible for Shadow to place the mic about 4 feet away so that he is the same decible as the rest of his team?
Apart from that he is as good as anyone on the DS team and can kick ass really well!

Wasnt sure whether anyone would like the "VIP - Sabotage" game i thought up or whether it would go down the pan but I think it was a pretty good success, lots of action and a bit of heart thumping panic as the clock ticked down, so i reckon it is fun for a distraction now and again. Certainly helped team building and working together on Backlot in my eyes.

Hopefully will be on tonight at some point for a game or two.

Indeed, I loved VIP - Sabotage! Was rather funny during the final few seconds as everyone fighting for their lives and all you could hear was Shadow screaming down the mic

I've had a change of heart. After a couple of really good rounds on it I've come to like Creek. Probably my favourite from the new maps, as I still haven't played Killhouse.

Conversely, I've now come to dislike Chinatown. I still haven't burnt the map to memory so half of the time, when I respawn it takes me a good 5 seconds to actually work out where I am!

Broadcast, as gone up in my estimation as well, although not as good as Creek. I did get my most humourous kill on this map though. Shot someone whilst perched on the toilet! They can't have been too happy with that!

Some good games this weekend. Nice to see Red Arrow back.

Won't mention the match where I was on the other team and single handledly beat you at S&D, getting 12 kills. If only I could play like that when I'm on the same side!

VIP Sabotage was great. Hopefully this will replace knives only on Shipment as our official match.

Apologies for coming & going a bit yesterday. I was being hassled to do/play other things.

Last night was a bit crap in the late evening monkey so you didnt miss much, either it was mega - laggy and the other team had huge advantages, or it was all americans who were nothing less than pathetic with their constant trash talking, or as it turned out at the end, it was a bunch of american teamkillers that happily spent 5 games of S&D just killing each other giving us something like 20 wins/ 1 loss.

Roll on a better night.

My worst game last night, Crossfire. We started at the top of the map and went for A. As soon as we'd got it we all headed to the far end of the street and suddenly I noticed on the radar that everyone else on my team turned left into the sniper building at the top of the road. No kidding, the entire rest of the team were trying to snipe!

I pretty much figured at that point that we were never going to win. Couldn't get B on my own so I just set up camp halfway down on the left and held the opposition team up there. Took out two with claymores and then just pinned them down in the shop. Didn't do too badly in the end.

About halfway through the game, the rest of the team were amazed that we were being beaten, convincingly. They suddenly decided to come out and start playing. Great idea, except they were all running around with sniper rifles....

Also, after that, I felt rather harsh. We were on Strike and some poor sap kept trying to get C. He obviously didn't know about the glitch. As soon as I heard C was being lost I'd just head down to the bottom of the shop, sit in the corner and stop it being taken until someone else got to C and killed him. He must have tried it 5/6 times without ever getting it. He needed to learn......

We seem to be running into more of those sort of games recently, or maybe it just seems like it.

Is the match making system random? If not that could explain it as the more we play the higher our score is (especially Minnimo's ) and if we're being matched against other players with a similar score then they are more likely to be idiots, that do nothing but play COD4, than newcomers (which I rarely see anymore).

Something I've noticed with the 'matching', I think it looks purely at your rank, rather than necessarily whether you're prestige or not.

Whenever I've just gone prestige I find myself in much easier games than when I'm up to rank 40+ again.

He's quite excitable at the moment but hes not annoying (at least for me). It's good to see (and hear ) that he's enjoying the game.

I'm sure he'll quieten down a bit once his voice starts to change.

Excitable is an understatement, I can hear him shouting through the ceiling LOL

It is concerning me that his language is getting worse since he has been playing or maybe that is since he has started secondary school. In front of me he is a little angel, but upstairs where he thinks I can't hear and when he gets involved in the game it's another matter altogether

He's been warned now that unless he keeps his mouth clean he's going to lose his xbox

I can see how that might be a problem.

Some of the racist language & sentiments that some people we play against is pretty bad. Especially in the evenings when the lobbies are full of Americans.

It might be worth changing his Voice Chat settings to 'Friends Only' as that will block out the opposition - btw Minnimo why don't you do this as well instead of taking the trouble to mute everyone?! .

It's easy enough to do - just go onto the Dashboard & then Edit Profile & then Privacy Settings.

I didnt know you could do that on Voice Chat... will have to do that in future!

As for shadow swearing, its not nice but as i say about my kid, i would rather she swears in private than in public and rather it be swearing than drinking or drugs! I know when i was at secondary school i used to swear all the time with my mates. It isnt something new or disturbing, its something that has gone on for decades or more. Just life as a teenager learning to become independant and "cool". Just lay some ground rules about swearing outside of his bedroom and that if he is going to do it, not to do it so it comes through the ceiling!!! He might appreciate being given some slack over it and find after a few days of it, that its not that great when your given some form of permission in your own bedroom. Eventually as he gets older he will be like most adults and only swear in the correct circumstances (like being killed just as i am about to plant the bomb in my particular case! )

Oh... and according to one website they claim the matchmaking was edited during the patch that was released the day the maps came out. Not sure if that is true because i havent seen an official announcement anywhere but it has been mentioned and is noticable a bit more lately.

I'm not naive enough to think he is blemish free when he is away from me, and he acts admirably and I get compliments on his good behaviour in other people's houses so as yousay thats the main thing.

Especially considering I swear like a trooper when my game goes wrong

^^ Everyone needs to relieve stress/frustration. Better to swear than beat seven shades of s**t out of someone/something.

I liked creek at first, but it seems everyone knows a good spot other than me. I can't run for more than 20 seconds without being killed. and I can't snipe without being seen.

Well Nutz, you could've told me about that sooner!!!!!

Why on earth would anyone actually wanna HEAR anyone else in that game?! It was beyond belief last night half the stuff that was being said. More than half. I will be sorting that out when I get home.

You mean sod for not saying sooner and taking great delight in rubbing it in

Keep your hair on. There are quite a few idiots, which I mute if they become annoying but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. You'll, also, struggle, to meet new friends if you can't hear or speak to them.

Overgrown
Crash
Downpour
Strike
Broadcast
Vacant
Creek (!)
