Argh! I turned the console on this afternoon to play and got a dirty disc error. So I took COD4 out to give it a clean and noticed that around the edges it was bumpy. Kinda hard to explain but it's along the very edge, like kinda warped. Seems to be running ok now but I wonder if my disc is on it's last legs.

Also does anyone else have this problem when the maps are loading: The loading bar will hardly move, then you can't hear anyone speak and finally the DVD drive spins down. Once the drive spins down the loading bar starts to move and you join the game but normally the first round has already started by then. Normally takes about a minute before you hear the DVD drive spinning back up again.

I haven't but be prepared to buy a new one! Now we've got you back we ain't lettin you go!

Monk you missed some good games when you left. I think we won them all bar two.

Taz had a really good idea for bog team deathmatch and we ended up winning it comfortably. I usually hate that map.

We ended up playing some S&D later on in the evening.

But it was brilliant to have some variety. And NOT be team killed. With that and having the idiots that deafen you down the mic muted it's so like a brand new game now.

What happened Saturday night?
I joined in a game against Dspy'ers, then returned to the lobby, and everyone disappeared!
If there is something you want to tell me, its OK, I'm a big boy.

I can't believe how many DS people turned up on Call of Duty last night. We literally didn't have room to get them all into the same ranked game

It was great to see everyone who did make it in (commisreations to those that didn't) and hopefully my dream of an all DS Ground War match is getting that bit closer

I tried to get in a few times but kept being put on the opposite team , of course I didnt want to blow the crap out of fellow DS'ers so I left quietly .

I wouldn't worry about that. Just get in there!

I think the problem we had last night was that the were a couple of 'randoms' who wouldn't leave and let the DSpy folks in.

I get what you mean but you do have a bit of an advantage if you pplay with them often. E.g I know Minnimo always goes to that spot by the big white containers on Downpour so I used my scoped LMG & sat waiting for her.

If Youngish Shadow is on the other team, it's a different matter altogether - even if I could work out what he does I wouldn't be able to stop him.

I Cant for the life of me work out why we dont do Ground Wars, there is certainly enough of us and we are Good Enough to beat any opponents on the day, that way everyone gets to play in a ranked match and we have a bloody good laugh at the same time

Nope, nothing to tell you except it was unfortunate we had a full team.

Yeah we're getting close to that now Dragon

Shandy, if you had've stayed you would've been playing with two other DS members on that team. Shame you left.

I get what you mean but you do have a bit of an advantage if you pplay with them often. E.g I know Minnimo always goes to that spot by the big white containers on Downpour so I used my scoped LMG & sat waiting for her.

Yeah it's amazing how much attention you've paid to my movements young nutz!

Because usually when we have enough for ground wars there's usually more than frickin nine on, so that leaves one out which is why I've started private matches recently.

You're like frickin buses people. Hardly no one then y'all come along at once!!!

Well that happens even if you are on the same team

I could've swore that you said ONE behind you not I'M behind you.

I Guess she will never live that down
Do I ever live anything down with you guys!?

Although seriously guys, I wish you would invite one another to matches whenever a team I set up is full. And don't use the crap excuse that your connections won't have it. It's a cop out and you know it. I'm on Sky 2mgs for goodness sake! Plus I had to have a fair few of you hosting while I was at my folks house because their connection was absolutely wild in not letting me connect to anyone.
Last night for example there definitely could've been two teams of six. Would you PLEASE for GOODNESS SAKE INVITE one another. Or else why did you go to the bother of adding each other!?!?

I had a similar problem mate
Some of the top layer of the dvd (the bit were the Activison and Infinity Ward logos are) came off! making part of my disc see through! The only other game i have had that happen to me was ridge racer 6!

Some weird stuff was going on tonight.

First i found it impossible to sign in,then when i finally got signed in it kept randomly chucking me out of games with a 'must have a network connection to play multiplayer' error message. Then i got invited to a game and it said that i did'nt have the map pack (which i have) which i then got disconnected from.

iv'e just wasted 2 hours of my life trying to play COD4 and only got 2 games.I'm calling it a night. i'll try again tommorow.

thx for the invite anyway minnimo

I noticed you go to that spot as I always used to sit there all the time back when we first started playing.

It's a good spot but you should use a gun with an ACOG (once you unlock it again ) so you can get annoying people like me who shoot you from the house. You're welcome to it as long as I can keep my 2 sniper spots on Overgrown.

My theory on Overgrown is simple. Take, and control the house by B and you pretty much win the game. A and C are too far apart for the opposition to hold for long before you regain one of them. B is easily defendible once you have the house next to it.
